Diet Coke

... Since then, the Diet Coke brand has undergone many changes, mainly as a way to maintain its custom against fierce competition from the other leaders, Pepsi. The main evolution comes in the flavouring; since a cherry taste was added in the late 1980's, several other fruits have been added ... Read review

DIET COKE

WHERE THIS FITS INTO MY BEATLEMANIA MONTH OF MAY:

Uh, well, it doesn't really. I could speculate and say that the band liked the drink but that might actually be a lie...and I don't condone lying, not always anyway!

Where as some people are addicted to hot caffeine intoxicated drinks such as coffee, for me, it has always been a form or diet coke or another; I'm not on ...
.../> BUT HOW DID THE DIET COKE STORY BEGIN?
After being founded in 1892, the Coca Cola Company is one of the two leading brands of Cola drinks in the world. It wasn't until nearly a century later in 1982 that a diet version of the popular soft drink was released to the public, first being introduced in the United States on Independence Day. It took over from the company's first brand of diet drinks, called Tab, which was introduced in 1963.

Burp-arama: The drink that makes you go 'Parp!'

Advantages: Low calories. Good taste. You might see topless people drinking it on your break
Disadvantages: Contains sweetners with bad reputations! Caffeine!

...to coke…not regular coke, but DIET coke…in my years at school. (God bless that vending machine seconds away from our 6th form common room.) So, here I am, reviewing the drink that got me through my school life. Looking back now, the amount of Diet Coke I used to drink is absolutely shocking…but hey, I have learnt as I have grown into a fine young man, only to consume 1 litre a day instead of 3. Hahaha…only joking. Anyway, on with the review… '''What ...
...rule when it comes to Diet Coke. It is best served from a can or bottle, that's it! Never drink it from a pub or anywhere that serves it from a fountain, the foul taste of aspartame is far too strong and leaves your tastebuds abused and in need of therapy. This is because the fountain dispensers include saccharin (that same, fake sweet, aspartame taste) in order to extend it's shelf life. Regular Diet Coke from cans or bottles don't include this. ...

I don't want you, do do do do do

Advantages: Sugar free
Disadvantages: It's just a glass of brown really

...crack into a can of diet Coke has to break into song.........I don't want you, do do do do do!!! That's one of the main things about diet Coke, a fantastic marketing machine that produces very memorable adverts, the down side is that drinking it hasn't really given me that 6 pack! When it comes to Coke, I switched from 'full fat' to diet some years ago. The transition takes a little getting used to, initially it just doesn't have that same kick ...
...There is one thing about Diet Coke, or any other cola for that matter that really doesn't work....don't drink it when warm, for the best taste sensation it has to be ice cold, drank warm it is sticky and somehow tastes thick!! Here are a few figures with regards to Diet Coke;- A typical 330ml can contains:- Less than one calorie 0 grammes of sugar 0 grammes of fat 0 grammes of saturates 0.01 grammes of salt. It's official description is as ...

Just for the taste of it - Diet Coke

Advantages: Only 1 calorie, I like the taste
Disadvantages: Not great for you

...though moved on to loving diet coke instead. Part of this probably stems from the fact that I always seem to be on a diet these days and at least I have no worries that I am adding to my food calories with my drinks too. I have also actually grown to really like the taste. Diet coke came from Coca Cola who are the biggest manufacturer of soft drinks worldwide. I am sure if you went to any country in the world people would know what coca cola is. ...
...time but Diet coke is a more recent addition to the portfolio of drinks. It is one that has actually stuck around though unlike their attempts at New Coke. The premise of Diet Coke has always been that it is a diet drink as it only has around 1 calorie in a 330ml can. This is very different to the full fat coke, which has 100 calories. If you consider it is only a drink, this is quite a lot. The advertising has also always been based around selling ...

Truly Refreshing!

Advantages: Very very refreshing
Disadvantages: Aspartame taste quite noticable for those who are new to this drink

I am such a Diet Coke addict that my friends have been bugging me about writing a review on this wonderful product since long- so here goes. I love Diet Coke. I love the taste and the smell, and the extraordinarily wonderful feeling of icy cold diet coke trickling down your throat on a hot summer’s day. For those of you who are not familiar with this particular product, diet coke is actually the sugar-free version of coca-cola. It contains aspartame ...
...the traditional white-and-black logo of Diet Coke has really become one of the trademarks of this drink. The banner contains the typical ingredients and nutritional info. The main ingredients are: • Carbonated Water • Caramel Color • Aspartame It also claims to contain only 1 calorie and 0.1g carbohydrate per serving (1 can). I find this perfectly suited for me because with the number of Diet Cokes that I drink per day, it would have been quite ...

Diet Coke Break

Advantages: taste, thirst quenching
Disadvantages: rotts your teeth

Diet Coke.... Even before I was watching what I eat and drink to loose weight I would always opt for a diet coke over regular coke (or as I usually call it "fat coke"). The taste difference between standard coke and diet coke is rather a lot because regular coke tastes so very sweet. Regular coke will often make my teeth feel coated in a layer of sheen and give me a furry tongue, so for these reasons I have always been a diet coke girl. The calorie ...
...you are drinking regular or diet and for a single can nowadays you are looking at paying around the 70 pence mark. I drink a fair amount of canned drinks and will always stock up when the supermarkets have offers on and they usually come on offer pretty regularly. The latest offer which is not bad is the large fridge packets of coke (15 cans) costing £5 for two which if broken down doesn't work out too expensive at all. The taste of diet coke for ...

Diet Coke In The Limelight

Advantages: Low in fat, refreshing, still contains the same amount of caffeine as ordinary coke.
Disadvantages: Tastes synthetic.

Diet coke with lime is a very tasty and refreshing drink. Though I am not usually a lover of diet coke it adds a little sweetness to it and is a lot tastier than diet coke with lemon. I have recently gone onto diet coke since being on a diet after having my daughter. I want to lose some weight. You know how it is? So although I love ordinary coke diet coke it had to be! Now I am partial to a drink of coke and especially when it is ice cold, straight out of the fridge. Ordinary diet coke tastes plain and you can taste the difference. The difference being it has six less sugar's than usual coke. Although I am saying diet coke with lime is a nice drink it does have a synthetic taste though not so harsh as the diet lemon coke. Hey did you know they even do diet cherry coke now? The Coke company is becoming more aware ...

Review of Diet Coke with Lime

At Last! Diet Coke with Cherry.

Advantages: makes your tongue tingle, it goes great with vodka, it doesn't contain lots of sugar.
Disadvantages: The look of the can is not spectacular it is actually quite boring .

I have always loved cherry coke and I remember about ten years ago I contacted the coke company to ask if they would consider making a diet coke with cherry brand but, they said they wouldn't. They sort of fobbed me off by saying that they made too many coke flavours and were happy with what they had on the market. They then sent me a list of products they did. I never knew this was available in America I might have considered moving there just so I could taste what diet cherry coke was like. Diet Cherry Coke was introduced in 1986 to America and renamed "Diet Coke Cherry" in 2005. I mean America is known for its obesity yet for once it was beating the U.K on its low fat version of cherry coke and coca cola didn't seem to be bothered. I was always surprised how other brands of coke had diet versions but, the cherry coke didn ...

Review of Diet Coke with Cherry

Your Diet Coke break just got Fruity!

Advantages: All the great taste of Diet Coke with Cherry's...with no calories!
Disadvantages: Makes you burp like a trooper!

In my teenage years (not THAT long ago), it's fair to say I was pretty much addicted to Diet Coke. I would often plump for a Cherry Coke, but often felt the guilt that it was a fat boy and not a diet...then low and behold the beautiful people in Cokeland released a diet version - all my Christmas' had come at once! I was a sucker for the brand, I loved the image, the logo, everything. I used to collect anything that had 'Coke' on: Clocks, T-shirts, Sweatshirts (I'll leave it there before I embarrass myself further). However, I can say without bias, I like Diet Cherry Coke very much. It's been around for a while, and I don't think it's going to go away - hurrah - unlike some other random varieties of Coke - such as Coke with a hint of Lime and dash of Bacon and a twist of Monkey poo (I made that last one up). I defy anyone to tell me ...
