The box is brilliant. It is slim and will fit on top of a video or dvd player with no problems. We have ours connected through a video and then to the tv. The signal strength is very good and the picture is brilliant. The only fault ... ...occasional loss of sound which we have put down to signal strength.
The quality is so much better than the digital sky signal and where we cannot get some channels on analogue tv or through sky they are clear and complete through this set top box.
There is the ability to attach a top up adapter to the freeview box and it does receive the extra channels already, it just needs the adapter to be able to watch them. more

Installation was easy. You connect it to your video and/or tv, plug it in and follow the instructions. It virtually installed itself. There is a remote control that is very easy to use. You have the ability with the in built tv guide to change for now and next or 7 day guide. You are able to alter the audio language and subtitle language as well as set favourite modes and more importantly parental settings.
There is also the ability to set timers for programmes and autoviews, but unless you set your video as well you would not be able to watch the programme.
I would recommend this box to anyone looking to buy a set top box that is to connect to a tv without having any frills. We were so pleased that we bought another for my Aunty who is so chuffed to be able to watch all the channels and programmes that digital tv offers without having to pay anything for them.
If this box lasts a year, and there is a year's guarantee on it, you would be paying £2.30 a month for all the extra channels. Compare this to £15.00 a month through sky to be able to receive all the free channels plus their most basic channels. Admittedly you do get extra channels through sky but are they worth £12.70 extra, for us it wasn't.
