Excellent Choice!
Review of Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5EB-K by
nidarasheed
Advantages: great quality pictures, easy to use
Disadvantages: none yet
This is the first Panasonic digital camera I've bought, and I'm quite pleased with it. It's very easy to use, the menu works really well, and even novices can figure it out quickly. It's small and compact, easy to carry around, which is useful for vacations. Takes no time to start, so you don't have to wait for it to load or anything, and it takes really high quality pictures in most conditions! The optical zoom is excellent, and the camera takes ...

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ18
Review of Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ18 by
Gizmondo
Advantages: Ease of use, iA idiot mode.
Disadvantages: Action shots could be slightly better.
I've had this camera a couple of months, overall quality is much better than expected. Photos taken of still subjects can be exceptionable good, action shots let it down a bit. I opted for the FZ18 as I do alot of walking and this camera is much better suited than lugging a DSLR about. Pros: Cheaper than a basic DSLR, images can be upto DSLR quality, good zoom, image stabilisation, compact (compared to DSLR), robust, iA mode (can be used as a point ...

EOS 400 in use by spanish real estate agent
Review of Canon EOS 400D by
rolandrock
Advantages: Ease of use
Disadvantages: Sometimes 18mm wide angle is not enough
Owning several Canon`s (chemo-film) have set my expectations high. I must admit that they are met by this phantastic product. Very clear menu, easy to use in all modes, great results. Recommend to buy the additional battery grip with it, gives camera better control and having two batteries inside gives you extended power. Standard lens is a good one, even will by better wide angle lens for architectural photos. Use it professional every single day ... ...the to buy list as well, even the build in is sufficient in most cases. Provided software is excellent as well and easy to use. I use it not only outside, even inside with USB cable hooked (tethered). On tripod good for table top photography. Filters used are: Skylight and Polaroid. Have a sun protecting lens cap as well. This is my only concern ... it produces black corners at the edges of the pictures in 18mm wide angle .. have to change this one. ...

A Great family compact camera
Review of Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3 by
harry1511
Advantages: X10 optical zoom, wide angle, good battery life
Disadvantages: None, maybe no view finder if you really do need one
I bought this camera as a replacement for our "family" camera we have used my wife's old 35mm Cannon for taking holiday snaps and felt it was a good time to replace it with a digital. "We" wanted a camera with a good optical zoom, "I" wanted a camera to take good panoramic shots (I have a Sony W900i and use the feature frequently).
There are not many digital cameras on the market that offer a high optical zoom and wide angle, most were either only ... ...a bit too big for us. The TZ3 was smack bang in the middle it gave a good X10 zoom (if I want more I'll switch to an SLR with lenses) and though not small enough to fit in my jeans pocket it fits fine in a coat or my wife's bag.
The TZ3 offers many different shoot modes these are selected via a dial on top of the camera and allow you to quickly switch between them. While I prefer to play around with the settings my other half just likes to point ...

Amazing camera with loads of hidden features
Review of Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX33 by
natty_883
Advantages: lightweight, differernt colours, huge screen, easy to use, extra software
Disadvantages: camera case slightly difficult to fit
...through panasonic and pay extortionate prices.
It also has intelligent auto mode so you don't need to fiddle around with flash settings etc when you just want a quick picture. Face recognition is amazing and makes sure there's no blurriness,
I literally cannot recommend this camera enough, it is amazing! ...
