The sony H9 is a very good camera. Its specs and features can show that for itself. It does have some bad points however. Pros: Its x15 zoom is great for getting in close to those shots that are out of reach or for animal shots. The 3inch LCD that tilts up and down is fantastic for those shots that require a high or low angle. Well i bought my Sony H7 about a month ago now and have not looked back I have been to 3 weddings taken over 1 thousand photos and nearly all of them have come out perfectly. The Zoom on the Sony is far superior to anything i have owned before and as for the quality of pictures it is defintly the best camera i have had. I also find that the manual option is perfect for basic camera users who dont know anything about cameras. This is a great compact camera, as I write in October 2008 it still has the best low light performance of any compact. Don't let the fact that it only has 6MP (low by today's standards) put you off. This camera was brought by my father from Japan. Actually we have two of these in the house. And it really is a joy to have two, as we can shoot and shoot. This camera is actually old by now.
