Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H9
Review of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H9S by lm83

Advantages: x15 Zoom, great lcd, nightshot
Disadvantages: Image compression, cheap lens hood

The sony H9 is a very good camera. Its specs and features can show that for itself. It does have some bad points however. Pros: Its x15 zoom is great for getting in close to those shots that are out of reach or for animal shots. The 3inch LCD that tilts up and down is fantastic for those shots that require a high or low angle. It can also switch between 4 settings to adjust the amount of info displayed on screen and brightness. Auto mode works ...
...is also many other modes to chose from including video recording. Its burst mode is also very nice, taking several pictures a second upto 100 pictures before stopping to save. Can take several hundred pictures on one battery depending on LCD/viewfinder use. Con: Main con has to be the picture quality. The H9 has only jpeg as an option when saving and no option to adjust the compression which is higher than I would like. Which can cause some more ... Read review

Sony H7
Review of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H7/B by jgtain

Advantages: Flash , quality of photos
Disadvantages: None

Well i bought my Sony H7 about a month ago now and have not looked back I have been to 3 weddings taken over 1 thousand photos and nearly all of them have come out perfectly. The Zoom on the Sony is far superior to anything i have owned before and as for the quality of pictures it is defintly the best camera i have had. I was debating between the Sony H7 or H9 but i think i am glad to have bought the H7. all you really get extra with the H9 is ...
...flash on this camera so great that this night view isnt needed. The camera performs well with a shaky hand as it has an image stabalisaion feature. I also find that the manual option is perfect for basic camera users who dont know anything about cameras. You could be a begginner and find this camera easy to use !!! it is quite chunky but it resembles an SLR which is nice. Although you cant change the lenses unfortunatly Overall cracking camera ... Grat carmera - If you can still get one!
Review of Fujifilm FinePix F30 by minionaire

Advantages: Small, grat in low light.
Disadvantages: Not widely available any more.

This is a great compact camera, as I write in October 2008 it still has the best low light performance of any compact. Don't let the fact that it only has 6MP (low by today's standards) put you off. This truly is a great camera. Ideal for social situations when the lighting level is low. It's other modes of operation are good, especially the flash mode which takes one picture without flash and one with. This makes it easy to reject and keep the best ... Read review

This camera is a bargain goodness!
Review of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P1 by ishralene09

Advantages: Affordable, Easy to carry, Can shoot movie clips, Zoom function
Disadvantages: Hard to upgrade memory due to new technology

This camera was brought by my father from Japan. Actually we have two of these in the house. And it really is a joy to have two, as we can shoot and shoot. This camera is actually old by now. It does have 3.3 Megapixels when it comes to details, but this camera is by now hard to use. You might want to buy a better camera. But if you want bargain, this should work as well. My father bought two of these for about I don't know, $5 each. So it's a ...
...so bad. And it also has zoom functions to boot. And one great feature of this camera is that it can shoot a 15-second movie clip. Not bad for an old camera eh? Of course, there are several flaws too. When shooting at a dark space, it will appear as if the background is well lit on the camera's LCD. But when transfered to a PC, you can see that it is not that light, and you have to fix the picture just to make it light. Another big constraint is ... Read review

Samsung s630
Review of Samsung S630 by Explorer23

Advantages: Light weight
Disadvantages: Needs batteries

A small, light weight digital camera with excellent picture quality and the added benefit of being able to record videos. Simple to use, making it effortless and useable by all, plus meaning that those special moments can be captured in an instant; so you will always have a lasting memory. The viewing screen on the reverse of the camera is of decent size, making it easy to review your photos and videos. The camera appears to be pretty sturdy, with ... Read review
