Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5EB-K
Review of Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5EB-K by Tammyjo

Advantages: easy focus, 10* optical zoom, red eye reduction
Disadvantages: non

This is a very high tech camera that is easy to used. The wide angle lens captures the subject and the scene wider at the same standpoint than normal camera does and you can zoom in or out to magnify a distant subject when desired with the 10x optical zoom. There is an Auto mode, which comprises various shooting-assist functions, has been advanced for the camera by adding the Exposure feature and Digital Red-eye. It has a high-performance image-processing ...

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ18
Review of Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ18 by Gizmondo

Advantages: Ease of use, iA idiot mode.
Disadvantages: Action shots could be slightly better.

I've had this camera a couple of months, overall quality is much better than expected. Photos taken of still subjects can be exceptionable good, action shots let it down a bit. I opted for the FZ18 as I do alot of walking and this camera is much better suited than lugging a DSLR about. Pros: Cheaper than a basic DSLR, images can be upto DSLR quality, good zoom, image stabilisation, compact (compared to DSLR), robust, iA mode (can be used as a point ... Read review

Sony Cyber Shot
Review of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T70 by nikkii07

Advantages: Several..mainly it is easy to use and it overall a great camera
Disadvantages: I can't think of any.

From what I can see this camera looks like a great investment for anyone. I love the sleek design and obviously it has great features. The picture quality is wonderful, and the overall look is great. I would own one myself. Everything about the cyber shot camera is exquisite. More importantly you get your value for your money, and that is a very important factor. I would recommend this camera to anyone who is looking for quality, value and just a ... Read review

Fantastic camera, packed with features!
Review of Fujifilm FinePix S8000FD by Xintyl

Advantages: Lots of useful features, easy to use
Disadvantages: Long shutter delay

My previous camera was a Fuji finepix A101, and has been an absolutely fantastic little camera. I took some fantastic photos of my beautiful little girl with it, but couldn't enlarge them because it only has 1.3 mega pixels! When looking for a new camera, I only looked at fuji finepix because I was so happy with my previous camera. I decided to get a digital SLR so I could take close up photos of flowers. It cost £183 from Amazon; the case and ...
...is rather daunting, the camera is simple to use and easy to get the hang of. It has a range of useful features. The face detection software allows the camera to focus on any faces in the shot. It can detect up to ten faces in one shot, and you can select which face should be the main point of focus. The main face is highlighted in a green square, with any additional faces highlighted in a white square. This camera unfortunately has the earliest ... Read review

G9 Canon's greatest compact yet
Review of Canon PowerShot G9 by Sidthemanager

Advantages: RAW, large screen, picture quality, ease of use
Disadvantages: Doesn't make the toast

...a number of top range Canon digital SLR's with my colleagues for this purpose. When I'm not working professionally, I generally keep a compact camera with me for those must have grab shots. There is an apparent obsession with how many megapixels a camera has which is now largely irrelevant with recently manufactured cameras. Few people now print off their work, but for those who do, the resolution of almost all new compact digitals (provided that ...
...The latest addition to the Canon compcat G series now has RAW. RAW captures the image without allowing the camera's computer to process and decide on light temperatures etc. It creates the opportunity to make huge changes to the post prodcution image and is no longer the preserve of professional photographers. Still - you might just want to point and shoot - then set it to fully automatic and you wont even have to decide when to use a flash or not ... Read review
