I have used this camera for around two years now, and taken it to many places around the world. This proves its durability and reliability, which makes it excellent for harsh conditions (but not waterproof!). It is quick to start up, although not instant, but you can still have enough time to capture those moments. I have had this camera now for two years and so far it hasn't let me down once. Although in comparison to the newer cameras out on the market it is fairly large and heavy, with a smaller screen and less mega-pixels, I've found it to be really good to use. Once the drivers are installed you are free to use any imaging software you like that will access and acquire from TWAIN drivers. I prefer Paint Shop and Photo Explorer (you will need the latest V7 to acquire video clips).
