Quality, Robust digital camera
Review of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P52 by
mjwalker
Advantages: very easy to use, Quality pictures, excellent flash
Disadvantages: Bulky, poor zoom
...they are compared to the Sony cameras.
The DSC-P52 is very robust as I can verify as have unfortunately dropped a few times onto semi hard surfaces such as grass and has fallen off my desk a lot of times. Fortunately haven't dropped from any great heights onto hard surface yet and not going to try it either now my 12month warranty is over. I bought it for about £180 of internet website www.pixmania.co.uk in the bundle included 4 AA rechargeable ... ...I did not buy the Sony memory cards but SanDisk of eBay at half the price of Sony ones and are just as good.
A negative of camera is its zoom which is only 2x optical unfortunately when want to take picture of things such as animals have to edit the picture on PC. This is why usually only use camera at such as weddings and parties because has excellent flash and red eye eliminator. I also have great funny with funky features such as Black & White, ...

Style is everything
Review of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P51 by
khacktheone456
Advantages: good picture quality
Disadvantages: maybe be difficult to use for some
...doing it. Design-wise, Sony places the lens for this camera on the far left side, making it virtually impossible for your right hand to get it the way. Another benefit is that this camera unlike many tiny cameras doesn't feel cramped by your face when looking through the viewfinder and holding with both hands. Something to consider before buying the smaller models. In terms of ease of use, the zoom rocker is on the back for thumb control, where it ... ...mpeg movie mode (no sound but very cool), and setup (where you'll find the 6x digital zoom - be sure to turn it ON, as it only engages at the end of the optical zoom range). Also included is SCN "screen" mode, for twilight/panorama mode (I suggest you refer to the manual on that one.) But all in all this is a great camera and I would recommend it to most people. ...

Sony Mavica CD500
Review of Sony Mavica MVC CD500 by
LavenderJack
Advantages: Excellent macro, good photo in all lighting conditions
Disadvantages: Bulky (by today's standards), expensive to buy
I've owned this camera for about four years. I bought it after reviewing other cameras in the same price bracket and although the first company I tried to buy it from told me it would be too heavy for a woman (it weighs about 1.5 lbs) I was going from a non-digital SLR that was much heavier. I have never regretted my decision to buy it. The functions are easy to understand and the convenient storage on a CD-RW makes transfer to the computer very ... ...very close photo of flower is a piece of cake. The results are truly professional. It will take a good photo in all light conditions with or without the flash and for really dark situations it has a projected light grid that shows where the centre of the screen is. I would thoroughly recommend it. ...

Wonderful Nikon D80
Review of Nikon D80 by
wilkinsgraham
Advantages: Takes most Nikon lenses, good controls, great picture quality.
Disadvantages: None really
...little biased. Ownership of several Nikon lenses decided the choice, and I wasn't disappointed.
It's easy to use or can be customised to suit exactly what you want.
Great results, and the built in flash isn't bad either.
Does everything that I need and a whole lot more besides.
If you've ever owned one of the AF film Nikons, most of the controls should be fairly instinctive.
I added the 17 - 80 AFS lens, which I use most of the time. The standard ...

Great semi pro, or pro backup.
Review of Canon EOS 20D by
stuf1982
Advantages: Light weight yet robust
Disadvantages: Small sensor limit's full 35mm lenses, slightly red cast.
I am a professional photographer and use a 20D as one of my backups. This is an excellent semi pro camera that is user friendly enough for any beginner. With image quality suitable for printing up to A2 from a RAW file. I would strongly recommend shooting in RAW wherever possible as the JPEG compression can be very limiting for post shoot editing and any image correction you may need to apply.
To get the most out of the camera I would recommend ...
