Review of Nikon Coolpix S210 by flowerchi1d

Advantages: slimline, attractive, simple to use
Disadvantages: poor zoom, no battery life indicator

The Nikon Coolpix S210 is a lightweight, slim, compact digital camera available for under a hundred pounds. Its simple design means that it easily fits into a pocket or handbag, or the included wrist strap can be used to carry it around. The screen is a genorous 2.5 inches which makes viewing easy. The Nikon S210 comes with a lithium battery plus charger which saves those agonising moments of realising you need to nip out and buy more batteries. ...
...which could be very painful if you don't carry an extra battery. The optical zoom on this camera is a poor 3x optical zoom or 4x digital zoom, which is much less than most cameras on the market at the same price. The camera is incredibly easy to use, with few buttons and simple instructions. The on/off button is frustratingly close to the shutter button however. The pictures are sharp and clear, and the camera is able to detect faces and focus ... Read review

Smile!!
Review of Nikon Coolpix P1 by sherbert999

Advantages: Excellent photo quality, very easy to use
Disadvantages: The battery isn't the best.

...of the smallest in the Nikon range, measuring only 3.6 x 2.4 x 11.5 inches. The shape of the camera makes it easy to hold, although i would still recommend that the camera strap was used as well, for extra safety!!! The camera has a jet black metal body, with the Nikon logo on the FRONT right hand corner of the camera, written in silver and it's name (Coolpix P1) just below this. The flash is in the centre of the camera front and is around an inch ...
...holes, these are the microphones which are used when you are filming, they are very discrete, I didn't even notice them for the first few months! The BACK of the camera has a large (2.5-inches) LCD screen, along with several dials and buttons in order to operate the camera, and its various functions. In the top right hand corner is the zoom button, it is a rocker button and is very easy to control. The zoom on the camera takes little time to adjust ... Read review

nice camera - many functions
Review of Nikon Coolpix P3 by lkmc01

Advantages: many functions, 8.1 million mega pizels
Disadvantages: bit bulky and heavy

A great camera. If your looking for a small one then it might be a bit bulky, but has a great dial, use and internal memory. I put a1Gb card it in and get 300 ish photos. A great . It has vibrate reduction, a self timer. I have had it for a good 2 - 3 years now. Bought it for about £250. The images are transfered onto my computer by taking the SD card out and putting it in to my computer. The camera has many functions, so many that I have not got ... Read review

NIce easy camera
Review of Nikon Coolpix P4 by irrata

Advantages: 10 Mpix, Vibration Reduction, 16 Modes, light and small
Disadvantages: Bad response to night or evening shots

I have owned this camera for over a year and I am reasonably contented with the results. Comes with 8.1 effective megapixels of image resolution and delivers professional-quality imaging power to the average consumer and the bright 2.5-inch LCD makes for easy viewing in all conditions. The camera is compact and lightweight, measuring just 3.6 x 2.4 x 1.2 inches and weighing less than six ounces. The 16 Scene Modes will please the more advanced users. ...
...shooting portraits by automatically sensing the presence of a human face within the frame and setting accurate focus accordingly. The In-Camera Red-Eye Fix™ technology automatically detects and corrects red eyes in an image while the D-Lighting function automatically compensates for insufficient flash or excessive backlighting. To ensure a crisp, clear image before leaving the scene, Blur Warning will alert the user that a shot has been compromised. ... Read review

Grat carmera - If you can still get one!
Review of Fujifilm FinePix F30 by minionaire

Advantages: Small, grat in low light.
Disadvantages: Not widely available any more.

This is a great compact camera, as I write in October 2008 it still has the best low light performance of any compact. Don't let the fact that it only has 6MP (low by today's standards) put you off. This truly is a great camera. Ideal for social situations when the lighting level is low. It's other modes of operation are good, especially the flash mode which takes one picture without flash and one with. This makes it easy to reject and keep the best ... Read review
