BenQ DC C800 - A Little Gem
Review of BenQ DC C800 by girlgrey

Advantages: Great picture quality, 8mp for great price tag, brill video capability
Disadvantages: Slightly plasticky feeling of outer case.

I purchased this camera based purely on its spec and only one review I could find on the net and thankfully I was very pleased with it when it arrived. It is lovely and small but has a great 2.4" colour screen which is nice and big for framing up those all important shots. Its also a great size for showing people photos without having to print them out or put on to a computer. I really like the black and silver outer casing which makes it looks a ...
...on the market but its not the most expensive or solid feeling thing in the world. However, the camera suprised me in how light it felt. The navigation is also pretty well set out but a good read of the manual is always helpful. The camera has 8 megapixels but the option to take photos at a lower resolution and therefore save on memory space. I did have to buy a separate SD memory card but the integrated memory of 26mb is a good backup if you need ... Read review

10 MP for nothing good
Review of BenQ DC C1000 by Razvangel

Advantages: 10 MP, movie recording, sound recording
Disadvantages: 3x optical zoom, poor quality on big size images, poor quality flash

This is my second compact digital camera and after I owned a Sanyo Xacti VPC-S4, with only 4 MP, this one offered me some pretty good features. First of all, the 10.1 MP speak for them self. I was disappointed by the optical zoom facility, witch I consider being to small for a camera with so many MP. I have to admit I was amazed by this camera at the beginning, but then I realized that there are some features that are missing from this model. Indoor ...
... Advantages * 10.1 MP * camera supports VGA movie recording with sound, and only sound recording Disadvantages * only 3x optical zoom * no sound in quick succession, so you can't tell when the picture is taken * if you record a long video, the sound and the image does not synchronize * when you use Manual Focus, it takes to long to focus, more than 3 seconds ... Superb cheap camera
Review of Fujifilm FinePix Z20fd by Cemiess

Advantages: Quality pics, light, easy to use, good review mode, movie button, internal lens, face recognition
Disadvantages: No fireworks mode, turns on in pocket, noisy

...used to have a different Fujifilm camera which I lost, and this was the replacement. It's better in almost every way, but there is one feature missing that was on my original camera, and that's the Fireworks mode. I got some stunning grabs of fireworks with my old camera and it's sadly missing from this one. After a lot of fiddling with the manual mode I was almost able to reproduce these settings, but that's hardly an ideal way of recreating the ...
...is that this is a very noisy camera. I can't for the life of me figure out how to turn off the array of plinky plonk sounds, so every time I touch it, I'm treated to an array of beeps and whistles. Apart from these minor flaws, this camera is as good as they come in the under £200 category. ... Read review
