Advantages: lightweight, differernt colours, huge screen, easy to use, extra software

It also has intelligent auto mode so you don't need to fiddle around with flash settings etc when you just want a quick picture. Face recognition is amazing and makes sure there's no blurriness,

Good Bargin
Review of Fujifilm FinePix F480 by
mark280285
Advantages: Good features for the money, good build quality, good range of pre set options.
Disadvantages: useless accompanying program,
I'll start by saying it is very asthetically pleasing, it feels solid when using it and you feel that you can trust the build quality. It is a little large but still manages to fit in the pocket. The camera is very easy to use and there are plenty of pre set options for any picture you want to take! You get alot for your money in respect to adjustability. There is a range of features that you can play around with if you want to take photography a ... ...some of the more expensive rivals but you get what you pay for! Picture quality is very good. However I feel that the flash makes pictures look a little flat. I try and get away without using the flash for more interesting pictures. One thing that lets this camera down is the accompanying program, it is a slow lumbering and confusing program. I installed it, used it once and uninstalled it straight away. Overall i would highly recommend this camera ...

Quality and Durability
Review of Olympus µ[MJU:] 850 SW by
urbanninja
Advantages: Range of colours; durable; SD card compatibility
Disadvantages: tiny integrated memory; lense in the top left so bigger hands might compromise pictures
I first saw this product in the advert with the cute kid, trying his hardest to destroy the camera, even using the camera as a dog toy! I thought this is perfect for me as I do a lot of hiking and canoeing and I have a graveyard of digital cameras that have broken on my trips!
Ok, to the actual product now, being a student with no fixed income, I initially thought the cost was a little on the highside. Then as in the past when you get a gadget that ... ...supposed to do is compromised. However with the Olympus, this compromise does not occur, durablity and quality are assured and this justifies the cost. For you people who love your bright colours this camera comes in a wide range of colours, from yellow to blue or pink.
There are a few disadvantages, firstly the integrated memory is tiny, so you need to get an SD card, i'd choose the 2gb card as it means you can shoot more videos without worrying ...

Read carefully --CANON is good choice
Review of Canon Digital IXUS 860 IS by
123ejv
Advantages: Large sensor, sharp images ,photo categorization, battery , low light autofocus
Disadvantages: Fine details lost at ISO 800, below average flash performance at telephoto
The Canon SD870 IS Digital ELPH features a compact, stylish case with rounded horizontal edges, and a retracting lens to make it pocket-friendly. With an an 8-megapixel 1/2.5" imager and 3.8x optical zoom lens, the Canon SD870 covers a range of 28-105mm equivalent, a useful wide angle to a moderate telephoto. Exposure is fully automatic, but the user can tweak it with 2.0EV of exposure compensation and four metering modes to handle difficult lighting, ... ...A long-exposure mode in the Canon SD870 IS ELPH also lets you manually set exposure times as long as 15 seconds, and a large 3-inch LCD is the sole method of framing and reviewing images, since the Canon 870 IS has no optical viewfinder.
The PowerShot SD870 is, legitimately, about the size of a pack of playing cards. At 180 grams (6.3 oz), there is a good heft to the camera, giving it enough weight to keep steady while shooting. It has a solid feel, ...
