Disadvantages: not quite as waterproof as i would have thought

Although a decent camera I must say it is a bit shoddy. Waterproof? not all that much my three yr old managed to get water in it the first day. This was a birthday present that I picked for myself and I don't regret it. The zoom is amazing, I can get a clear picture from about 100 metres away if not further. Before taking the picture, when zooming far it does look very blurry but it sorts itself out when taking the photo and comes out clear. ...taking a photo without it being a little blurred. Whether the camera should help with that or not I really don't know. It's small and light enough to take with you wherever you go. I recently purchased this camera and must say that I really like it. The selling point for me was that it has a 5X optical zoom, which very few compact digital cameras in this price range have. The zoom is fantastic quality. The photographs are vibrant and of very good quality. I received this camera as a birthday gift and my first impressions was this looks cool as...slim..modern. its great for your general family pics and holiday snaps. When i reviewed the pictures i took and one`s i printed of you can see imaged when zoomed blur at edges..u can actually see the pixels...other disadvantages i think are the small battery life..it seemed every few hours i needed neIw batterys or plugged in to charge especially when memory ... Olympus also offer excellent customer service as I dropped mine onto a concrete floor and they quickly repaired it (paying for all posting and packaging) and got it back to me with a couple of weeks.
