Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5EB-K
Review of Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5EB-K by
Tammyjo
Advantages: easy focus, 10* optical zoom, red eye reduction
Disadvantages: non
This is a very high tech camera that is easy to used. The wide angle lens captures the subject and the scene wider at the same standpoint than normal camera does and you can zoom in or out to magnify a distant subject when desired with the 10x optical zoom.
There is an Auto mode, which comprises various shooting-assist functions, has been advanced for the camera by adding the Exposure feature and Digital Red-eye. It has a high-performance image-processing ... ...system.
This camera is renowned for packaging a remarkable wide angle 10x optical zoom lens in a compact body. Notably, the camera also integrates the capability of recording HD (high-definition) motion pictures together with its direct output function allowing users to enjoy watching both still and motion pictures in impressive HD quality on a large-screen HDTV via an optional component cable
The camera LCD function, which detects the lighting ...

my favorite camera
Review of Fujifilm FinePix S9500 by
firefly63
Advantages: good quality colours pictures, light weight, lots of features
Disadvantages: slow focus and taking shot
I bought my FinePix S9500 on ebay and the price was very decent! This is my second digital camera after my stepsons broke my beloved first one and I just love it. I take it with me everywhere - it's still quite light weight having the manual zoom lense. Being an amateur i enjoy the manual lense even though I mostly shoot in AUTO mode. I have one beautiful night picture taken with it and find great for night shooting.
I use the camera a lot for taking ... ...well for them, but action shots are difficult as I find focussing is slow if the object moves quite quickly. There is also that slow a bit shutter lag, that you press the button and there is a delay before the shot is taken.
But still I would recommend it. ...

Not for the novice
Review of Fujifilm FinePix S9600 by
crware
Advantages: Well featured, more than 10x zoom.
Disadvantages: No optical viewfinder, poor manual focus. Low contrast, softish lens.
This camera packs a lot of punch for a relatively small outlay. In operation it is very similar to a digital SLR and the lens offers a wide zoom range up to the 35mm equivalent of 300mm. One thing which takes a little getting used to on a camera like this is the fact that the viewfinder is a colour LCD not an optical image through the lens. Once you've mastered how to interpret it though it becomes a very creative tool most enjoyable to use. The ... ...unusual angles - very handy. Pros: 9MP chip, RAW plus MPEG formats, takes CF and SD cards, excellent lens, hot-shoe flash mount for external flash (many don't have this), uses standard AA size batteries. Quieter than SLR.
Cons: slightly disappointing results at high ISO settings - quite a lot of colour noise, viewfinder gives false indication until the shutter is pressed half-way. Lacking in contrast. Does not feature steady-shot or face recognition. ...

A CLASSIC CASE OF 'MORE IS LESS'
Review of Fujifilm FinePix E900 by
flashpointz
Advantages: looks nice, has very good specification
Disadvantages: poor image quality
NINE Megapixels - wow.....but what a disappointment!
As a Professional photographer, I'm coming at this camera maybe from a different perspective that a normal consumer. I'd been looking for a carry anywhere type camera and one that was easy to use for my wife as well as myself.
I've got thousands of pounds worth of photographic equipment, 3 Digital SLR bodies, lenses, flashes etc when going on a job. But for holidays, family events and just to ... ...this Fuji E900 would fit my bill.
But oh how disappointing...
I bought it for around £240 at Jessops back in December 2005. Used it outdoors and thought it was quite good. Then came Christmas and the opportunity to snap the grandkids opening their pressies and other typical family type shots.
Using either the viewfinder - which I'm used to - or the LCD Screen to frame the pictures I found straightway that the ACTUAL image did not correspond to ...

FUJIFILM Finepix E900
Review of Fujifilm FinePix E900 Zoom by
lsalmon72
Advantages: easy to use, packed with options, excellent picture quality
Disadvantages: Flash over-exposure, small memory card
This is my 3rd digital camera, and by far the best one yet.
The quality of the pictures & the range of settings etc would be expected on a highly priced camera, yet this only cost me £149.00.
1st impression is it actually looks like a camera, quite big and heavy, but just right to feel comfortable in your hands.
There are 10 picture modes, including a slow shutter (3 seconds) which is great for dramatic moving water pictures, auto, natural light, ... ...Picture size options are also very good, starting from 640x480 up to 9m. A very handy option is the picture size 3:2 (3696 x 2464) which takes pictures in the standard photo size that you would get developed in a shop, which means no cropping.
There is also a black & white setting, which i find is perfect for portraits.
The macro function is also excellent, allowing some really clear close-ups.
The video function is of good quality (640 x 480) ...
