The Nikon D300 will currently set you back around £1000 in the UK, and that's without the glass on the front. My review here might seem technical to some, but that's not an amount of money most people part with lightly. ...The camera came with Nikon Capture 4 editing software as a 30 day trial, and I liked the software so purchased it (about £100) once the trial ran out, and have since upgraded to Capture NX. For previewing my photos prior to editing I use the excellent Nikon View software which is freely downloadable.
