Not a bad camera but not the best.

Advantages: high zoom and high quality standard pictures
Disadvantages: Batteries, up close work and plasticy casing.
...the spots off my older HP camera. The extra megapixels do make a difference.
The camera menu is easy to navigate and the buttons that do the navigation are nice and simple to operate. The select or OK button is at the centre of the navigation and is very large so even people with big fingers can operate it with ease. The zoom button is L shaped so you cannot mistake which way the zoom lense is going. Talking of the lense, the 6X optical lense is ... ...of the camera to charge. HP do sell an "easy charge" kit for £20 but all the kit contains is a normal AA battery charger that you can buy for about £5 and a flimsy carry case. At least taking AA batteries it can easily be replaced when the batteries run out but i think they missed a big opening by not providing a battery that charges in camera. However, a set of batteries has a massive lifespan.
Also included in the box is a driver CD for connecting ...

A good silver camera
Review of HP PhotoSmart M737 by
romybuzzer
Advantages: Takes good pictures
Disadvantages: Lacks an optical viewfinder
I have just bought a HP Camera. Its the Photosmart M737 model and finished in a lovely silver colour.
The casing itself is hard plastic but also very lightweight to carry.
One thing you will notice thats different is that it lacks an optical viewfinder. Therefore when you are framing pictures, you will need to rely on the bright, clear and very large 2.5 inch colour screen on the rear.
It does have a finger lip on the front for steadying pictures ... ...strong carry strap.
It takes 2 AA type batteries which means they dont recharge internally as a lot of modern cameras do. A set of batteries seem to last around 100 average type pictures.
I do like the high range optical zoom that is able to focus in on very close objects as well as distant objects. The resolution does not seem to drop off.
My husband has a similar camera with identical Megapixels (8 on both cameras) yet this seems to zoom much ...

Class Camera
Review of HP PhotoSmart R727 by
MrGee32
Advantages: Easy to use, good quality, light weight
Disadvantages: Can be slow
What can I say about this camera apart from great. I have been umming and arring about getting this nifty looking camera until I saw it in a shop on offer, so I jumped at the chance.
When you open the box you are greeted to this trendy looking silver camera with is slim and lightweight.
This camera is 6.2 mp with 3 optical zoom which has a 2.5" (6.4cm) good quality screen. You dont get a memory card with this camera but it does have 36 MB of internal ... ...buy a memory cards which start at about £10 - make sure they are SD cards ive just bought a 512MB SD fcard or £9.99 and this has now upped my total photos to 367. The software for your computer is very simple to install.
Once you have taken your pictures there are different facilities to view them by pressing a simple button - you can either see them one at a time with you manually scrolling through them or you can opt to see them by slide show. ...

Hard to beat this camera.
Review of HP PhotoSmart R707 by
Geoffviolin
Advantages: Easy to use by anyone.
Disadvantages: Cost. Hard to get a cheap second-hand because they are in demand
I bought this R707 for use in the school where I teach. It was intended to be used to take photos of the kids during science practicals so that they (the photos) could be put up on display. I found the camera to be very easy to use. It can do lots of clever tricks but these don't get in the way of taking quick photos which can be deleted/edited easily. What surprised was the quality of images it can produce. They are extremely sharp. I print them ... ...professional standard. When I have lent out the camera to other teachers they report how easy it is to use. They don't need to read the instructions, just point and take. There seem to be no drawbacks. I have been trying to get a second-hand model for my own out-of-school use but the costs seem to be relatively high. I assume that word has spread, causing prices to rise. ...

Review of HP PhotoSmart M415 by

Advantages: Decent Pictures, Decent Macro
Disadvantages: Purple Fringes, poor battery life
Review deleted by Callan Cool: Due to the fact that people were complaining about the fact that this review was too long and split into two parts (Wow, must be Cio's longest ever review!) I followed their advice and condensed it so it would fit on a single page. People who regularly read my revies know that I like to cram my reviews with as much info as possible, whilst still being user friendly. This review is no exception. I have however, decided ... ...so people can view up to 14 images in total. I must stress that in my opinion, the new way ciao seem to display the photo's (with the 'Image Provided by' overlay reduces the photo quality, which in my opinion, means that they're not as clear as they look on my own computer, so a true representation of the cameras actual image quaility is sadly impossible. ...
