My first Minolta and Im Hooked !!!
Review of Minolta DiMAGE Z1 by dottymardon

Advantages: Great quality,Great Design, brilliant allover
Disadvantages: a little big

Well I bought this nifty camera about Eight months back and I am still experiancing the wow effect. The camera has the best battery life I have ever experianced. Normal batteries will last about three weeks while my rechargables last me at least a month-Thats great. The other evening I went and watched Maroon 5 play live.I was up in the seating area, with this wonderful zoom,I could see the piece of meat still in Adam Levines teeth. I got some amaizing ...
...clips are not 100 %, but then again this is not a video camera !!! People sitting behind me were so amaized that they gave me there e mail address and begged me to forward the pics onto them. After a day, anyone will know how to operate the camera, It looks great, sounds good, good quality, excellent battery life, What more would you want from a good affordable camera. The only disadvantage is that its a bit bulky, men who carry it around in a ... Read review

A Light and Reliable Companion
Review of Minolta DiMAGE 7i by Librelola

Advantages: A light, easy to use, full of features and semi-professional camera
Disadvantages: Battery life and electronic viewfinder

I bought my Minolta Dimage 7i about 3 years ago, but only started getting really acquainted with it about a year and a half later. I was travelling a lot and I prefer to use film cameras when I travel and for "serious" photographic work, as I provide a couple of Photo Libraries with images, and most of them still prefer slides, although many do accept digital images of high quality and resolution. A big reason for not using it more often at first ...
...bad at all. The Minolta Dimage 7i has a lot of features, I would say too many almost, but if you like to play around, they are fun, although I do not use them much. The features which I find to be the most useful are the Aperture and shutter priority and the full manual mode (the aperture range is f2.8-f3.5/f8 and the shutter speed range is bulb at 30 sec for the slowest and 1/2000sec for the fastest). It has an exposure compensation of -2 EV to ... Read review

Advantages: Easy to use,Fantastic Photographs,Video Capabilty
Disadvantages: None

...repaired.After some enquiries,i found that Minolta has a repair Service Centre in Milton Keynes. You can send the camera to them at your expense but as the situation was urgent i took the 45 minute drive to the Service Centre. The Staff were very friendly, but told me there was a 2 week wait for the repair.I explained my situation and they were happy to twist the rules for me,and i was able to pick up the Phone on our way up to Scotland for our Holiday.Included ...
...which had taken the brunt of the fall was also replaced and the Camera was given a 'Service'.It was like i received a new Camera. I fully Recommend this Camera, ideal for Mid Price Users,it has all the Features that i need,is compact and light and most Importantly the Quality of Photographs is A1. I recently used the AOL Picture Service which will turn your Digital Pictures into Photographs to hold, rather than look at on the PC.I was able to choose ... Read review

An excellent camera of good design and quality
Review of Minolta DiMAGE S414 by melonballer

Advantages: Clear Qualinty Images with good sound and video recording. Very sturdy construction.
Disadvantages: Rather heavy compared to later models, so Rechargeable batteries are a must for this thirsty camera.

It’s one of these cameras that are as complicated as you make them. You have to option of auto; point and shoot images. No messing about point the cameras at your subject and you’ve got yourself a nice holiday snap. But it you want to fiddle which the settings, the timing the light transparency focus exposure degree dishwasher thingy…. Then you can do that too. It’s probably as heavy as you expect a camera which as 4AA batteries inside to be. ...
...ones dry within hours. But rechargeable ones seem to last or weeks…. I can’t explain it but there we are. I’ve had this camera for about 2½ years now it’s never let me down. I think once upon a time it cost £400! It’s been a firm favourite ever since it’s release and consistently performs well against cameras of a much higher price. ... Read review

Minolta Dimage 7(Superb Camera)
Review of Minolta DiMAGE 7 by Markybee0

Advantages: Excellant quality pics, lots of functions, easy to use.
Disadvantages: Batteries last about 20 mins if your lucky,Power pack was 50 pounds from jessups.

When i bought my minolta dimage 7 camera it was about 800 pounds and to be honest it is not really worth 800 pounds, its a nice looking camera with lots of different functions but theres so many cameras on the market today its hard to differenciate one digital camera from another.I think the price has come down to about 600 pounds now.try Dealtime.co.uk and search away. Pros You can take pictures of about 5 different sizes without losing the excellant ...
...the only reason that i would take a lower quality picture is if i were taking pictures to use on the pc or internet, for printing i would take at best quality.Theres different settings for different types of weather ,if it is cloudy or sunny, indoor or outdoor. You can use this camera as a fully automatic camera or without all of the functions to get different effects, maybe to focus on something in particular. It has a manual optical zoom lense x7 200 ...
