Nikon D200
Review of Nikon D200 by liz_cloud9

Advantages: Short Cut Menus
Disadvantages: A little small for larger hands

...the imaging capabilities of the Nikon beats the S2 outright as its a 6 mega pixel camera verus 10 mega pixel. There are short-cut functions in the top of the body such as ISO and white balance settings so there is no need to search through the menus to find these. Initially this camera may seem daunting due to the vastness of the menus, but some guidance from the well written instruction booklet and the Nikon website the camera can be easily set ...
...this camera a little small to grip on its own, but with the base grip accessory this makes for a good size to hold and looks more like a professional body. Overall I am thoroughly please with my purchase and can rely on this is in rain or shine to get the images I require! ... Read review

The Cool Camera
Review of Nikon Coolpix 4300 by sifair

Advantages: Detailed Photos
Disadvantages: Small Screen

The Nikon Coolpix 4300 is the first ever digital camera I bought. At the time I bought the camera I wanted it to be able to take decent photos in all sorts of different light conditions and different situations. I was very impressed with this camera when I first bought it as I found that inside the box there wasn't just a camera, there was various different photo programs that came with the camera as well as a few different leads such as a USB cable ...
...a memory card. Unfortunately the Nikon Coolpix 4300 does not come with a memory card but that is alright nowadays as you can get large memory cards for as little as £10 if you shop around. One of the discs in the box is Nikon's own software, this is very useful and one of it's best features is that every time you put images on the computer they are put in separate files so the images don't get muddled up with another set of images. Another piece ... Read review

Good Buy
Review of Nikon Coolpix 3500 by Syntax

Advantages: Small, Stylish, Good Computer Integration
Disadvantages: Sometimes Low Battery Life, Few photo manupulating features, No sound recording

Basically, I can say that this camera is a great buy, if you're into family photos and holiday pics. It wouldn't be practical for any professional photographers who require a wide selection of functions to manipulate the photos. The camera looks neat and stylish, and has the ability to capture still images and motion. Although the camera cannot record sound during these captures. The main feature for the 'looks' of the camera, is the swiveling lens, ...
...use. The camera uses memory cards, although i found when i first bought the camera, it would reject the memory card which i bought with the product. Compact Flash 'Scandisk' memory cards work fine though. The camera has auto focus, and a built in timer and flash. The previewed image is seen through an LCD screen, and after the photo has been taken, a sliding panel ontop of the camera changes modes from 'Capture' to 'Play', from where you can see ... NIKON COOLPIX L4
Review of Nikon Coolpix L4 by cringle

Advantages: excelled in close-up pictures including small print and insects; lightweight; easy to use
Disadvantages: It doesn't zoom as much as I would like and can be slow

This is the first digital camera I have used and I am delighted with it. Advantages: I particularly wanted a camera which is good at close-up photography so that I could photograph pages of antiquarian books showing clear print and physical features, and small items of porcelain, but I didn't want to pay a lot whilst I was still experimenting as a novice. I also wanted something small and light, that I could slip into a handbag or pocket. The camera ...
...and I was pleased with the close-up pictures which showed detail well and were not blurred or out of focus, even very close up. The text on books comes out clear and legible. It is light, looks good and is easy to handle. I use rechargeable AA batteries and always have two in the camera and two charged-up ready to change at short notice. This works well, and is much cheaper than replacing normal batteries. They are easy to change, and although I ... Read review
