Odd name but just how good is it?
Review of Olympus µ[MJU:] 820 by arry2007uk

Advantages: Fantastic quality and loads of features!
Disadvantages: Weird name and for the same price you can get better!

Olympus used the shockproof and waterproof design as the key selling tool for the µ[mju:] 820 and was built to provide the consumer with fantastic picture quality in a durable yet compact form. Through the HyperCrystal LCD screen shots are rendered perfectly clear whilst the face detection and focusing system helps even the most clueless photographer capture what really matters in a photograph. Complexity is added for those more experienced by allowing ...
...the Shadow Adjustment function. ISO sensitivity (long story short this is a piece of technology which allows better image quality in poor lighting without using the flash) helps automatically correct blur caused by movement of the camera or subject matter and is quite obviously an extremely useful bit of support when trying to take pictures or film hyperactive children! In regards to my personal experience I recently won one of these little beauties ... Read review

Small and Smart
Review of Olympus FE-280 by Furbystein

Advantages: A dinky camera, packed with features.
Disadvantages: Some compromises, but that comes with the price.

I was lucky enough to try one of these things out when a friend of ours bought it as a Christmas present for his wife. He showed it to me so I could make sure it was all working and I took the liberty of looking it up on the web and trying out all its features. I found out that it was really quite a nice little camera, and I wanted it so much it was tempting to slip her my old Olympus, she'd never know... The first and most striking thing about ...
...lovely on such a small camera. It's high resolution and 2.5 inches across give you a really clear example of what the photo will look like on a screen or print. Another thing I've mentioned already is size. This 8 mega-pixel camera falls in with the ultra-slims at 0.65 inches thick and only a little bit bigger than a credit card. Such a small camera seems to be preferred nowadays because it can fit almost anywhere. Glove compartment, pocket, back, ... Read review

FE-210
Review of Olympus FE-210 by NamCat

Advantages: Excellent value for money, Hardwearing,
Disadvantages: Need rechargables to get best out of battery life

...swayed by brand power but Olympus has been a brand that I've trusted ever since I started taking pictures. Even though sometimes it can't compete on a digital plane with Canon and Kodak etc. it still retains a basic understanding of how cameras should work. For example, with many other digital camera there is a lot of editing potential on the camera itself such as Sepia and colour toning and borders and cropping and so forth. This camera doesn't ...
...refined and user friendly. Another feature that impressed me was the user guide on the camera - most people, including myself, don't read the instructions and try and figure it out myself. However I've used the quick manual on the camera on several occasions when I wanted to create particular effect. I would advise anyone new to digital photography to get this camera because of the ease of use and the fair pricing. A good all round camera. ... Read review

Maximum detail with 12.0 Megapixel resolution
Review of Olympus FE-300 by iliande

Advantages: Perfect Shot Preview is a handy feature, Slim, light design
Disadvantages: Performance, poor picture quality, especially at high ISOs

Olympus FE-300 seems to have it all: 12 megapixel image sensor for producing large-format prints with incredible detail, face detection technology plus an impressively broad range from ISO 50 up to ISO 6400, alongside a standard 3x optical zoom and 2.5-inch, high resolution screen. The FE-300 is the slimmest compact camera in Olympus' ranks. Even if your subjects are moving, the camera continuously tracks your subjects' faces without having to press ...
...which was developed for the demanding performance of professional Digital SLR cameras. This mode lets you preview how your picture will look under four different EV compensation or white balance settings. If you shoot in awkward lighting, Perfect Shot Preview can really help you take a proper shot without a lot of trial-and-error or menu-hunting. You can even preview how movie clips will look at different quality settings and frame-rates, though ... Read review

The Olympus FE 240
Review of Olympus FE-240 by JAM29

Advantages: Very easy to use
Disadvantages: You will have to mess around with indoor shots when using zoom

...zoom function - photos still came out a little dark. A word of warning, I would make sure you get at least 1GB of memory because you will be inspired to take hundreds of photos. I loved this camera so much I upgraded to the Olympus X-825 and ... Read review
