I've had this camera a couple of months, overall quality is much better than expected. Photos taken of still subjects can be exceptionable good, action shots let it down a bit. I opted for the FZ18 as I do alot of walking and this camera is much better suited than lugging a DSLR about. Owning several Canon`s (chemo-film) have set my expectations high. I must admit that they are met by this phantastic product. Very clear menu, easy to use in all modes, great results. Recommend to buy the additional battery grip with it, gives camera better control and having two batteries inside gives you extended power. The TZ3 was smack bang in the middle it gave a good X10 zoom (if I want more I'll switch to an SLR with lenses) and though not small enough to fit in my jeans pocket it fits fine in a coat or my wife's bag.
