Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3- brilliant
Review of Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3 by
tom1991
Advantages: Good looking, high specs with many functions
Disadvantages: None
The Panasonis DMC-TZ3 is fantastic. The features are varied and the camera has many. The 10x optical zoom is a bonus, so if you are looking for a high spec camera but not quite an SLR this the one for you. The easy scroll wheel for the functions is straight forward to use, with functions such as macro, printing, easy mode (just snap away), and many scene modes including night, sports and lots more. The camera has an image stabiliser to increase the ...

Kodal Z712 IS
Review of Kodak EasyShare Z712 IS by
davegb2
Advantages: Excellent quality images, many features, 12x optical zoom, easy to use, price
Disadvantages: Cheap strap, no built-in lens cap, feels plasticky
...and the images from the Kodak are so much better. A full range of shooting modes are available, including movie mode, as well as fully automatic. The long 12x optical zoom works perfectly, and is operated by buttons on the camera rear. The large LCD panel (6.4cm) is clear and easy to see. The Electronic View Finder (EVF) is also easy to use and I tend to use this more than the LCD. Both are high resolution.
The camera is powered by either the supplied ... ...But if you get the Kodak printer things are even easier. You just drop the camera on the printer dock, and your pics will be transferred to your PC and the battery will be recharged (if you have the rechargeable battery of course).
In summary, don't be put off by the Kodak cheap and cheerful name. This is a great camera which can easily compete with cameras costing £100's more. ...

Olympus sp510 - Great Prosumer Camera
Review of Olympus SP-510 UZ by
reviewerKing
Advantages: Lots of features for the money, Easy to use but with access to advanced features
Disadvantages: Noise at high ISO's
In terms of value and features for money, the sp510 is probably the best camera in its class.
Ideal for someone looking to do more than just snapshots, but not wanting to fork out hundreds on a digital SLR, the sp510 is a so called bridge or prosumer camera that attempts to offer the best of both worlds.
For example the camera has a number of modes from fully automatic - where the camera takes care of all settings, you just frame your shot and ... ...length, aperture, shutter speed and ISO.
There are also a number of scene modes - with settings tailored to particular circumstances such as portraits, sports or night shots. Some of these are a little gimmicky, but the shoot and select mode, which takes a number of shots in quick succession and allows you to choose which ones to keep has proved useful for me.
Compared to other prosumer cameras the sp510 is cheap, yet its still well equipped. The ...

the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H5 is still the best
Review of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H5 by
akashgaur
Advantages: one of the best ultra zoom camera
Disadvantages: Downsides are few, they include a so-so continuous shooting mode.
The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H5 was released as the flagship of the ultra-zoom line. Along with the H2, it succeeds the H1, which had a solo release. The H5 has specifications worthy of its role: 7.1 megapixels on a 1/2.5-inch Super HAD CCD, a Carl Zeiss-branded 12x optical zoom lens with image stabilization, and 32 MB of internal memory. Aiming for the enthusiast market or consumers growing out of their automatic point-and-shoot models, it provides full ... ...lenses and other accessories. The H5 also retains characteristics familiar to point-and-shooters, such as a huge 3-inch LCD screen with a live preview, several Scene modes on its mode dial and ease-of-use features like a function guide and all-text menus. The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H5 comes in black and silver housings ...

Great camera for all levels
Review of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H5/B by
shariegroot
Advantages: Great Size, Fantastic Zoom, Tons of Storage, Easy to Use, Big LCD
Disadvantages: Uses up batteries fast, but uses standard AAA so easy to replace and charge
...control. It takes the typical Sony memory stick, and with a large memory stick you can take a long video, I used it to video the fireworks display at Disney World's Epcot Center and it turned out great, you could hear the fireworks exploding, was really neat to watch on my computer screen, a little difficult to share on the camera, but do-able. My husband videoed a space shuttle launch, now THAT'S an exciting event. This camera is well worth the ...
