My Fuji S100FS
Review of Fujifilm FinePix S100FS by
cherryb26
Advantages: Fantastic colours
Disadvantages: lens gets in way of flash on macro
I bought this camera to take with me on an expedition into the Amazon rainforest, which is one of the most difficult situations to take photography due to its constant low lighting and moving subjects.
The auto function on the camera was good, but was inadequate in low lighting, I found if I switched to manual I got much better photographs, but the problem with that was that it took me a while to get used to the functions before being quick enough ... ...when you first buy it.
One morning the sun was rising and there was a wonderful red tint in the sky which I wanted to catch, so I put it on the sunset setting and the result was fantastic, the colours were perfect if not more vivid than in real life, other people took the same photo on their cameras, and some of these had SLRs etc but nobody got close to having the colours I had. This is true in most cases actually, even on auto I didnt have many ...

Could This Be The XACTi Camera Your Looking For?
Review of Sanyo Xacti VPC-HD2 by
Craigshadow12
Advantages: Small, Great range of options
Disadvantages: Price, HD not as good as you may think.
...with many products that the Sanyo company have sent me in the past and when it was time to update my video camera my attention was immediately drawn to this product as it is considered to be the worlds smallest high definition video camera to date. My first look at this camera came in my local electrical goods store where I was amazed at its quality and lightness. All cameras such as this that are featured in Sanyo's Xacti range all record videos ... ...As I have dealt with Sanyo many times in the past I know that they would not release a product unless it was up to their very high standard. The majority of the controls are placed together behind the lens of the camera for easy access to the cameras user. All the mainly used buttons sit conveniently on the top of the control panel in clear view for the user. As well as the obvious zoom and play functions there is also a joystick which allows you ...

Review of Olympus µ[MJU:] 850 SW by
cansley
Advantages: Great ease of use and sleek design
Disadvantages: not quite as waterproof as i would have thought
Although a decent camera I must say it is a bit shoddy. Waterproof? not all that much my three yr old managed to get water in it the first day. Though my fault i geuss. he saw me testing it and he gave it his, but all it took was water running from the facet of my tub to do it. it still works the screen just hs moisture behind it so semi waterproof would be a better description and as for its performance i like it though i do relaize i should have ...

Canon S3 IS
Review of Canon PowerShot S3 IS by
x.b3nny.x
Advantages: Digital & Optical Zoom, Easy to use, quite small.
Disadvantages: No battery meter.
I have had the Canon S3 IS for a year now. I really enjoy photography and this was my first proper camera.
I have found it very easy to use and found that the optical and digital zoom work very well together. It is also great for close ups. It has Macro and Super Macro. This allows the subject of the picture to actually be on the lens and it is still able to focus properly.
It has a screen on the back which you are able to pull out and change the ... ...a picture of yourself with friends etc as you can see the screen on the front of the camera.
You are also adjust the shitter speed. This is great for night shots as it will let in as much light as possible.
In all I think that it is an amazing camera and is great for someone who is just starting out, as it is at a very reasonable price and easy to use. ...

IXUS 55
Review of Canon Digital IXUS 55 by
ajl93
Advantages: cheap, great quality photos, quick loading time
Disadvantages: none that i have noticed - perhaps menu system slightly complex
...quality of the lens, and canon is a top make, which I have noticed from the thousands of photos which i have taken. To add to all of the above, it is absolutely outstanding value. I bought it for £160 which was worth it but now that it is down to about £120, so I would not advise any other camera. ...
