Nikon D40
Review of Nikon D40 by dickyhart001

Advantages: good camera, good build quality, plenty of extras. light for a DLSR
Disadvantages: flash is rubbish

Great camera, easy to use, good build quality, takes loads of superb pics without to much fuss. The build in flash is a let down, but thats the least of the problems. Easy switch of lenses. The controls are very accessable and easy to use to move around the menus. Good focus control and easy use of ISO settings. Has RAW if you know what your doing, but i dont mess with this function too much. its light for a DSLR as well. It comes in silver or black, ... Read review

The OLYMPUS E410 is A pleasure to use
Review of Olympus E-410 by pink_paperclip20

Advantages: Lightweight , fun to use , Great Picture quality , endless range of functions , well priced
Disadvantages: Can Take a While to understand all of the functions

The camera I've been waiting for...
Review of Ricoh Caplio GX by Tipps

Advantages: Handling, quality, seems to take great pictures all by itself! That great 24mm lens
Disadvantages: Sorry, but if you think the price is high, you don't understand value.

I've had my GX100 for only a few days, but already I've realised it's the digital camera I've always dreamed someone would one day make. This is a true photographers camera and unlike most digitals, it looks as if a photographer designed it rather than an engineer. It has a really great feel - solid and easy to use, the buttons are where your fingers naturally sit. It's fast to use. It has a super lens - the 24mm setting is a pure delight. Good pictures ...
...24mm lets you do that. Decent aperture and anti-shake means indoor pics are doable without the dreaded flash.
