You want a Canon G5? Consider this instead!

Advantages: Great performance, adequate zoom, good quality lens and resolution, good colour balance, nice design, compact package, easy controls.
Disadvantages: Not the best battery life(carry a spare), flash seemed weedy+vulnerable, Memory Stick slow and expensive, auto white balance not always right

Advantages: Excellent image quality, small size compared to competition, 4x zoom, decent video mode.
Disadvantages: Photo quality not quite as good as "big lens" cameras.
