Nikon Coolpix L5, Cool or uncool?
Review of Nikon Coolpix L5 by
matt_jones_1988
Advantages: 5X optical zoom and In-Camera red eye fix
Disadvantages: AA batteries, Poor sensitivity ISO 400
The Nikon L5 is a relatively new camera and at £132.76 looks like a great bargain, in some aspects it is great, but in other performace tests it has let me down.
The overall design of the L5 is great, not to big or too small, so they have got the balance just right, but unfortunately it uses 2xAA batteries and with a 2.5" screen on the back lasts for only about 50-100 shots, noty really what you want when your on holiday and wanting to snap away, ... ...is incredbibly slow and the Nikon really does lack the performance side. The quality of prints I have received from the L5 are OK, slightly grainy and some colours were not that true., which i was amazed at as the camera's specification reads so well. The Nikon L5 also has a a technolocy called face-priority AF, which basically means will automatically focus on the face as a priority and the main focal point when needed. What Great technology and ...

The low cost Nikon
Review of Nikon Coolpix S500 by
shiguo
Advantages: Good color reproduction, Strong quality build
Disadvantages: wrong placing of power button, weak LCD screen
...The colour reproduction of this Nikon isn't as good as a Sony. I own another Sony T30 digital camera. I love the stainless steel body which gives me a feeling of robustness. The LCD isn't viewable under the direct sunlight which is a pity. The camera scores for its face detection technology. The lens actually moves around to scan for faces. The menu on this camera is easy to use as well. Anyone can just browse through the menu and find what they ...

Thumbs Up for Nikon Coolpix 7600
Review of Nikon Coolpix 7600 by
mrsjacksparrow
Advantages: Various settings including landscape and portrait, long battery life, video mode
Disadvantages: The video recording quality isn't perfect
I have owned this camera for over a year now and I am always amazed by the quality of the pictures that this camera can take!
There are numerous options to choose from to ensure the picture taken is at the best possible quality this camera can give.
I recently took it to a music gig and the photographs taken with this camera of the lighting effects came out brilliantly.
The video facility on the camera can be quite fuzzy but the quality can be ...

Cool Camera - Nikon Coolpix 7900
Review of Nikon Coolpix 7900 by
sbutler1
Advantages: Stylish, Superb Quality, Extensive features Great Value for Money
Disadvantages: My dad dropped mine! (but it's ok!)
I have had my Nikon Coolpix 7900 for about a year and a half now and have been very very pleased with it. It is a small, compact digital camera that offers stunning quality pictures with lots of different features. Priced at around £250 it is superb value for money and I would definitely recommend this camera to anyone!
**Looks, Design and Size**
As with many modern technological inventions, they have suddenly become fashion items and the same ... ...With 7.1 mega pixels, the Nikon Coolpix 7900 delivers top quality pictures. They are very detailed and realistic and help you to capture moments of your life in stunning detail. The 4x digital zoom allows you to take good zoom shots, which also come out in superb detail. Many digital cameras often have poorer quality when using the zoom feature but the Nikon Coolpix 7900 does not! Also, the Auto-Focus and Auto-Flash features ensure that all pictures ...

Nikon Coolpix S2000
Review of Nikon Coolpix S200 by
TESTBEST
Advantages: Nice feel to the Camera , easy to use and takes clear sharp shots
Disadvantages: not as good sensitivity for low light as some other Cameras
...The Camera has what Nikon refer to as a "Electronic VR" which is just an otter description for " anti shake Mode" and works very well
I have taken many Pictures at night on FULL AUTO without a proper Tripod by simply resting the Camera on a wall or other suitable support with very good results
The Camera does have a good sensitivity Range ( up to 800 ISO ) but not as good as the Fuji F 31 FD which we have also tested
In common with a few new Digital ... ...sensitivity is concerned but the Nikon I feel is easier to use and is Ergonomically better ( seems to fit in the hand better and have al the controls easy to use )
I also have a Nikon SLR Digital Camera but for quick shots or for occasions when I don't want to carry the SLR , I have no hesitation in taking the little S200 and know that I will get good shots
Of course the SLR gives better results due to the physical size of its internal CMOS sensor ...
