a new piece of work from sony
Review of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H50B by
razzda
Advantages: state-of-the-art optics, big tilting screen, optical stabilizer, face&smile detection
Disadvantages: awkward jog dial, lens hood ridiculously big
...quality and the longevity of Sony products, and when I saw the H50 advertised with all its benefits, I knew it was the best upgrade for me.
I am impressed with it, to say the least. The camera is as I expected and more. Compared with H1, it's sleeker, easier to work with, smarter in terms of menu and options. It's also very intelligent and intuitive, with numerous presets and creative modes. Sony have also made a clever decision bringing some of ... ...below the shutter release button. Sony have decided to move this dial on the back of the H50, surrounding the up-and-down-left-and-right control button that has become so usual on digital cameras (and remote controls) lately. This makes it awkward to work with both the multidirectional controls and the dial.
2. the lens hood is flower-type and is too big for this camera. I am sure it's this big for a reason, but still…
Nevertheless, for all the ...

A CLASSIC CASE OF 'MORE IS LESS'
Review of Fujifilm FinePix E900 by
flashpointz
Advantages: looks nice, has very good specification
Disadvantages: poor image quality
NINE Megapixels - wow.....but what a disappointment!
As a Professional photographer, I'm coming at this camera maybe from a different perspective that a normal consumer. I'd been looking for a carry anywhere type camera and one that was easy to use for my wife as well as myself.
I've got thousands of pounds worth of photographic equipment, 3 Digital SLR bodies, lenses, flashes etc when going on a job. But for holidays, family events and just to ... ...this Fuji E900 would fit my bill.
But oh how disappointing...
I bought it for around £240 at Jessops back in December 2005. Used it outdoors and thought it was quite good. Then came Christmas and the opportunity to snap the grandkids opening their pressies and other typical family type shots.
Using either the viewfinder - which I'm used to - or the LCD Screen to frame the pictures I found straightway that the ACTUAL image did not correspond to ...

Grat carmera - If you can still get one!
Review of Fujifilm FinePix F30 by
minionaire
Advantages: Small, grat in low light.
Disadvantages: Not widely available any more.
This is a great compact camera, as I write in October 2008 it still has the best low light performance of any compact. Don't let the fact that it only has 6MP (low by today's standards) put you off. This truly is a great camera. Ideal for social situations when the lighting level is low. It's other modes of operation are good, especially the flash mode which takes one picture without flash and one with. This makes it easy to reject and keep the best ...

This camera is a bargain goodness!
Review of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P1 by
ishralene09
Advantages: Affordable, Easy to carry, Can shoot movie clips, Zoom function
Disadvantages: Hard to upgrade memory due to new technology
This camera was brought by my father from Japan. Actually we have two of these in the house. And it really is a joy to have two, as we can shoot and shoot.
This camera is actually old by now. It does have 3.3 Megapixels when it comes to details, but this camera is by now hard to use. You might want to buy a better camera. But if you want bargain, this should work as well.
My father bought two of these for about I don't know, $5 each. So it's a ... ...so bad. And it also has zoom functions to boot. And one great feature of this camera is that it can shoot a 15-second movie clip. Not bad for an old camera eh?
Of course, there are several flaws too. When shooting at a dark space, it will appear as if the background is well lit on the camera's LCD. But when transfered to a PC, you can see that it is not that light, and you have to fix the picture just to make it light. Another big constraint is ...
