Excellent camera for intermediate - advanced users
Advantages: Well built, manual controls, fast, great screen Disadvantages: Default shooting mode, movie mode, easy to drop
I don't actually own the camera but I have had privilege of using it non stop for the last 4 months around Europe. Amazingly my girlfriends uncle lent it to me for my travels after my cameras ($1600 AUD worth) decided it would be a good idea to jump out of the overhead compartment as soon as the plane landed in Heathrow Airport and take themselves for a fast paced walk down the isle. Needless to say it took every ounce of my male ego to stop myself ... ...I stray from the point.
This is a great little camera for anyone that is making the jump from a point and shoot to a SLR but I wouldn't recommend it for anyone not willing to play around with the advanced settings.
The stats
8MP
3 x Optical Zoom
2.5 inch LCD screen
An unbelievable 34 scene modes
White LED AF Assist Lamp
Fast start up time
Appearance
Slim, simple, stylish but a little on the heavy side is about how I would describe this ...

Great images,stability and features!
Advantages: Image quality, screen size, compatibe with multiple formats Disadvantages: nothing so far...
I've recently bought one of these and found it to be superb value for money mid range companct camera. I got mine from www.webelectricals.co.uk who also delivered it for free. The optical zoom is good but the quality of larger prints really shows from the 8.1 Mega Pixels. If you only print standard size shots then you might not notice however with larger ones you can really capture the granular detail.
The screen is a good size and is certainly ...

Very sturdy little camera with good features
Advantages: Build quality, picture quality, features, battery life Disadvantages: doesn't ship with memory card
I bought this camera a long time ago because I wanted something fairly small to carry around as my new PDA didn't have a camera built in, I was in a shop for something else and saw behind the paypoint that it was reduced so i had a look.....
I was impressed, metal casing, quite slim and unobtrusive in the pocket, 2 rechargeable batteries and charger included, I was a little suprised at the lack of memory card but hey I wasnt going to let the lack ... ...the surface appeared to be a very good bargain. I was instantly pleased by the solid feel of the camera in the hand, it felt like it could withstand a few knocks.... and it would need to, I'm a teenager :P (god knows how many times i've dropped the thing onto concrete floors, it still works though )
Its solid without being a brick, and slender without feeling like it will snap, a very well designed piece of kit :) The camera itself in automatic ...

Exilim Z100
Advantages: Great Picture Quality & Video Recording Disadvantages: LCD display not as sharp as pictures
I bought this camera for my brother's birthday a few weeks ago but I had the pleasure of using it for a weekend away before I handed it over to him.
It is a good looking little camera which is affordable and well constructed (i.e., it doesn't feel like it's gonna fall to pieces in your hands, like some other products I have had!) packed full of features, some I will probably never or rarely use, but its good that they are there! The camera itself ... ...a 512MB memory card and a carry case. I would recommend buying a memory card as the camera's internal memory is only 32MB probably enough for about 20 or 30 photos; an annoying downside with most cameras, no doubt design to make you spend more money for the extra capacity! Having said that, it is extremely good value.
It is 6MP which is more than enough for most users. Photos come out very sharp and clear. The camera has a zoom function to take ...

Size is important but width isn't everything!!
Advantages: lightweight, slim, easy to use, great pictures, impressive zoom, long battery life Disadvantages: instructions were in Japanese
...time I look at the Casio Exilim EX-V7 I've had for 2 weeks. I look at it and think about the gas powered calculator I had at school that needed four heavily set blokes to move it because of its size and weight. Launched in Vegas (baby) in January with much fanfare in the camera press I just had to get my grubby little paws on one, and when I entered a few (17) competitions to win one I was shocked when I got a text message to say that yes Mr Westonsi, ... ...really that thin but the Casio Exilim EX-V7 goes to show that size really does not matter as it is the best thing I've had my hands on for months (my wife has just given birth so no action for a while). The controls are very basic and in a nutshell it can do two things. Take pictures and record video clips. There are about 8-9 diffrent types of photos to take with shadowing and shading all of which produce a stunning amount of detail. The camera ...
