I picked this camera up for a shade under £100, expecting it to be a good but not brilliant stand by for my 35mm, but I was wrong.
The camera looks and feels tough. A small colour LCD back screen combined with intuitive controls allowed me to start taking pictures in minutes, despite the poor instruction manual. Two quality settings, normal and fine, combined with 3 picture sizes allow for flexibility. Add to this exposure control and you will be surprised with what you can get from this beauty. I avoided the 'fine' setting as it tended to be less sharp, but my pictures were crisp and balanced, with good colours. The flash is ok, but can produce some stunning red eye which is easily removed in the supplied software package.
The camera is also a basic digicam, fun but not brilliant. It can also double up as a webcam with the minimum of effort.
Two negatives only - a poor digital zoom, (but aren't they all for this price!) and a flimsy battery cover which has to be treated with reverence when changing battery or memory card, but otherwise, this is a joy to own and use.
