Best DSLR camera with me
Advantages: Articulating LCD,Can take pictures from many odd angles Disadvantages: all important controls are positioned awkwardly
...dust reduction and environmental sealing. The Olympus E-3 is really more better and comparable to the cameras by Olympus's competitors that we've been categorizing as semi-pro,such as the Pentax K10D, Canon 40D, and Nikon D200.With the E-3, Olympus introduces their first new autofocus sensor in years. Company claiming that this is the fastest AF system on the market. Combined with greater 1.15x magnification in the E-3's viewfinder, framing and focusing ... ...Olympus models.
The Olympus E-3's Power switch is located in a familiar place for Canon prosumer SLR owners, just off the lower right corner of the LCD display.
On the look,I'm very impressed by its design and buttons. Its overall feel is very tight, solid, hefty, and well-thought and best build up.
When you'll grip the camera you feel the grip is very comfortable. Its design, though big, is ergonomically pleasing and handsome, and it gives you ...

Still worth a look
Advantages: Full semi-pro SLR functionallity, fraction of the cost of an E520 Disadvantages: Only 8 Megapixel and possibly a little slower than the 520
...two generations behind the current Olympus SLR offerings, it’s still a remarkably competent piece of kit– the fact that the newest equipment offers ‘more for less’ means older models can be had on the second hand market at very reasonable prices (although that’s tough luck if you’re selling!)
A typical E-500 body will set you back around £150 on Ebay these days (March 2009) – little more than a high-spec compact, but what does that mean in terms ... ...already had a collection of Olympus compatible lenses, the bayonet mount on the current range of cameras isn’t directly compatible – although adapters are available for manual lenses for around twenty quid on Ebay.
At it’s heart is an 8 megapixel sensor – current models in the Olympus range are 10 – to be honest though – it’s unlikely that you’d notice a great deal of difference in about 80% of shots.
Noise reduction on the camera is supposedly ...

olympus e-510
Advantages: good photos quality, value for money Disadvantages: software, catching focus in dim light
...software coming with the camera: olympus master 2 - it stops working from time (consuming 100% CPU) to time and I have to restart it.
Another issue worth to mention is that this camera has a problem getting focus when the scene you want to shoot is not very well lit.
It also comes with 2 sets of high quality kit lens. You also need to remember buying it, that unlike many other DSLRs, which shoot photos in 3:2 format, this one shoots them in 4:3 ...

Olympus E-400
Advantages: Small, light and great image quality for a great price. Disadvantages: I personally dont think this camera has any bad points.
This is probably the best SLR camera on the market for its very low price. This 10 mega pixel camera offers a great crystal clear photo quality and is great for amateur and professional photographers, with its manual settings. For photographers with less experience it has preset settings for when shooting different scenes for example portraits, landscapes, macro, night scenes, sports etc. This great camera includes a built in flash and a fairly large ... ...slots, one slot is for XD memory cards and the second slot is for a CF (Compact Flash Memory). You can change the lenses and put another lens on the camera for long distance shots and different scenes. Many people dont know but this SLR digital camera is the smallest and lightest SLR in the world, which means, easy to carry and great for long periods of taking pictures. ...

Olympus E-10 Great Value 2nd Hand
Advantages: Good picture quality, feature packed. Disadvantages: Heavy, lens not inerchangable.
The Olympus Camedia E-10 has been on the market for approximately 3 years and is about to be superceeded by the E-20.Though the E-10 is packed with every feature the serious ameteur could want, it will soon be out of date with the introduction of the E-20, which is more or less an upgraded version of the E-10 (the E-20 has 5 megapixels instead of 4) for the same price around £1200. The specifications of the E-10 speak for themselves and it is an ... ...manual controls, and all the advantages of SLR photography. It is however a little slow to write to a normal CFcard ,this can be improved by using a fast CFcard of the professional type for example a 12x or even 40x CFcard. To me a set of fully manual controls is essential to the serious photographer otherwise you have no creative control over the images. The E-10 has all the manual control you could need, and of course a fully automatic setting. ...
