Review of Samsung GX-1L

CANON 450D - excelent beginners SLR

Advantages: Easy to use
Disadvantages: Could be too simple for more experienced photographers

I bought the Canon 450D about a year and a half ago and have not looked back. I was a complete beginner to SLR cameras and to be honest didnt know much about them or which was best to buy. This camera is an excellent start for novice photographers as it is extremely easy to use and the features are of good quality. Review of Canon EOS 450D

Great for photographers, just starting out

Advantages: Fantastic Picture Quality, Very Professional, Great for begginners
Disadvantages: Flash isn't brilliant

"The canon 1000D was the first, and only digital SLR I've owned..." I've used this camera for Nature & Wildlife photography, Some Portraits and a have been hired for a wedding in January 2010. The build quality is slightly poor, i personally keep worrying that i might damage it; the worst time i panicked ...
...i nearly fainted; i thought it was going to have broken it; but the build actually wasn't that bad. "At least i don't need to justify another £500 feww... :D" If you're just starting out then i recommend this camera, however if you're aiming for long rang shots; such as most wildlife then purchase a telephoto lens for it as well. ...

Review of Canon EOS 1000D

Olympus E-410 is a Fantastic SLR Camera!!

Advantages: Fantastic quality photos, lighter than most SLR's, good value for money, long battery life.
Disadvantages: Little complex out of auto focus mode.

...pannorama you will need a Olympus XD M card. The only disadvantage is it can be a little fidaly getting into manual focus mode and the booklet although pretty helpful is still a pain to read. You do however get a DVD which will give you a basic introduction to SLR shooting which in my opinion didnt go into enough detail. Overall fantastic a camera which is perfect for a newbee, but you have to be interested to venture out of the auto focus mode. ...
