Advantages: Good value 15" LCD TV
Disadvantages: Sound quality could be improved

...The Digitrex is manufactured by an American company and I found mine on special offer at a major retail chain at a bargain price too good to miss. It is a stylish TV complete with stand although it can easily be mounted on a bracket and fixed to the wall - but be warned as the bracket is recessed you need to make sure that the fixing plate on the bracket is no larger than 115 x 115mm and some of the ones on sale in the major retailers aren't! The TV is very easy to tune in to TV channels either automatically or manually and the picture quality is good. However I found the sound quality disappointing but adequate for a second TV. There four sound settings however there is little discernable difference between any of them. It has VGA, SCART, SVideo, Video and Audio input all located under the screen and has teletext. Advantages: No need for 5 speakers and cables. Really does work!
Disadvantages: Needs careful positioning

...What HiFi gave this a 5 star rating with good reason. Its an impressive piece of kit and now that it has come down in price, offers a real alternative to load of speakers around the room. This is why I bought one. The thought of 5 speakers plus cables trailed across your front room does not really appeal, especially if you have laminate flooring, so looking at an alternative option meant the Yamaha. Yamaha produce two different models. The YSP1100 is the more meaty one able to produce louder and deeper sounds by virtue of having more speakers, larger speakers and louder speakers - its as simple as that! But does it work? Well yes it does. The setup is the key. You have a microphone that measures sound in your room and how it bounces off the walls. It then does all the rest.
