Normally use this during winter. Well now, I use it less often because of this summer period. Dimplex is a nice heater that gives specific amount of heat that suites your body. Well I use this mostly at nights because in the daytime, I tend to be at work so there won’t be that time to make use of it.
I got this about a year ago but I got astonished when I went through the page and realized that none of the heaters has been rated. It took me about one month before installing it. Even the installation cost so I had to exercise some patience. Since I got this, I have not been experiencing difficulty with cold especially while at sleep. The dimplex heater is kept in my bedroom and I think this is where it should be because putting it elsewhere apart from the bedroom might be of no use.
It gets its heat through electricity and if use often, will not be economical and this consumes a lot of electricity that makes your bill high.
It also comes with an instruction manual that is very easy to read and understand and on the other hand, directs you on how to use it. Well you don’t expect every thing about this to be detailed in one review you just get and its features and functions are detailed
The heater is capable of putting in fear in you about burning down the house but I have not experienced it happen. It has the type of smell that signifies a burning objects at times and this imposes fear on the user.
I am not trying to put up the fact that this can burn down a house but the point that I am trying to put up is that in my psychological expressions, I think it might do so.
I would have liked this if it was the programmable type but since it is not there, I still manage to use it but all the same, it is still good.
Another major feature that it lacked is the thermostat and this would have been better to regulate the amount of heat that it produces.

Colour: black in colour and polished. Most of the time, I ensure cleaning to maintain its black colour.
Wattage: this is the place that makes the heater a bit of problem because it consumes a lot of wattage, but in my own case, I put it only at nights. Some times, out of my carelessness at times, I tend to live it on before going to work and this is really a dilemma to me and consumes a lot of power and increases my electricity bill.
Ease of use: well, it does not require schooling to master, the only thing is when you buy, keep using and within a short time you will master it. It also has limited features so don’t expect confusion to set in.
Timer: I would have liked this the more if the timer was made available but since it is not, I still move along with it. But one question that I have asked my self about the timer is this, what really will the timer do? Well if it was made available maybe that is the time that I would realize its importance.
Efficiency: well I have to comment on its efficiency because this is the real factor that benefits potential buyers. In this aspect, it is quite efficient but for an appliance that I tend not to use all the time, I can’t give full account on the efficiency but from the service that I have gotten from it, I will give it 3 out of 5 star.
Safety: well I don’t expect any electrical appliance being up to 80% safe. In my own case, while making use of it at night, I don’t fell that relaxed until I get caught up with sleep. Although I have not gotten any malfunction from it but wont be that reliable but still safe to an extent.
Amount of heat: this is where dimplex got it all right by making it produce heat that suites the bodies need but some times it tends to produce smell that indicates excess heat.
Maintenance: since I got it, I have not gotten any problem with it. It is quite easy to maintain and does not require that time to look after.
Repairs: I think I have to repeat my self a bit, since I got this; I have not gotten any problem with it. It seems quite strong and I don’t expect buying another heater in the next one year so I pray it maintains its present status.
Price: I paid 114.99 to get this. Well I don’t know how to express my opinion on the price but I think that it worth the price.
My thoughts Very efficient and easy to use but one thing is that it some times produces burning smell that makes it look as if it is about to burn down the house. But I think this should not prevent you from buying it, these are mere speculations.
