Advantages: It didn't burn the house down. Disadvantages: After one night of use it almost burnt through.
...Recently bought this radiator for my grandparents thinking it would be a safe alternative to the old heater they currently have and help warm their cold house.
I turned it on, it felt very hot so I turned it down to a medium setting and left it, You are supposed to use it with an open window the first time as it gives off fumes.
After the first night on a medium setting it is black across the top, the paint has peeled off- looking at it I am suprised it did not burn their house down!
It still smells but of burning instead!
I am taking it back tomorrow and buying a more reputable brand, I am also going to write to Dimplex as this could have cost my grandparents their life....

...I got one of these a few years ago and it is great.
It's a great thing to have in the house and I reccomend you go out and get one. The users mannuel is simple to read and I expect a simpleton could understand!
It is now a lovely focal point of my living room and all my friends complement it.
Unfortunatly I cannot rember the price and cannot find the receipt. Sorry!

Advantages: good amount of heat Disadvantages: takes a while to heat room up
...Having no central heating and no money to install it, I had to buy heaters for every room in my house - enter the Challenge Oil Filled Column Radiator.
I had already bought Dimplex Oil Filled Column Radiators for my bedrooms which are double the price of the Challenge Oil Radiator but needed one for my hall.
I bought the Challenge OFCR (Oil Filled Column Radiator) from Argos on sale at #19.99 and is normally #29.99. It has two options of heat settings and a temperature dial which you can adjust accordingly.
The OFCR is on wheels which you have to put on yourself (which takes a minute or so) so it is easily moved around if required. Its asort of light beige colour with bright orange dials for heat and temperature control which is not the best colour option for them to go for!
The Dimplex OFCR is the same design - on wheels which you...
