...One of the many heaters I tried was this Dimplex free standing/wall mounted convection heater with Fan Boost. I decided to try this after a returning my 4th failed Bionaire BCV3100 heater. The wall mounting arrangement was very affective in securely locking the heater to the wall using 3 simple hooks. The unit is very light weight. There are 2 switches on the side. A power On/Off switch and below that a Hi/Low switch. Below the switches there is a mechanical thermostat to further regulate the heater. On the front of the heater integrated into the turbo fan grill there is a switch to turn the turbo fan on or off. A nice feature is on a hot day you can run the turbo fan without any heat, this provides a cool draft from the heater although it is not as affective as a desktop fan though. Disadvantages: TAKES TIME BEFORE HEATING.

...Normally use this during winter. Well now, I use it less often because of this summer period. Dimplex is a nice heater that gives specific amount of heat that suites your body. Well I use this mostly at nights because in the daytime, I tend to be at work so there won?t be that time to make use of it. I got this about a year ago but I got astonished when I went through the page and realized that none of the heaters has been rated. It took me about one month before installing it. Even the installation cost so I had to exercise some patience. Since I got this, I have not been experiencing difficulty with cold especially while at sleep. The dimplex heater is kept in my bedroom and I think this is where it should be because putting it elsewhere apart from the bedroom might be of no use. It gets its heat through electricity and if... Advantages: looks nice and contemporary
Disadvantages: had quite a few faults, online fire shop was very poor

...Bought this Dimplex Elda for £150 from www.direct-fireplaces.com. It does look nice, am impressed with the fake glowing fire effect. Also it's really easy to install - you really do just plug it in. However, there have been problems, to say the least. On the first fire we were given, the fan didn't work so it kept cutting out. We then got another one delivered and the spacer was all dented so my husband had to get the bus all the way to the shop in Stockport and swap it. I've since noticed a big scratch all along the bottom but I really can't face having to deal with the shop again as they weren't very helpful at all. When I bought this fire they took my £150 twice - right before Christmas so I was NOT happy! I was assured the money had been refunded.
