One of the many heaters I tried was this Dimplex free standing/wall mounted convection heater with Fan Boost. I decided to try this after a returning my 4th failed Bionaire BCV3100 heater.
The wall mounting arrangement was very affective in securely locking the heater to the wall using 3 simple hooks. The unit is very light weight. There are 2 switches on the side. A power On/Off switch and below that a Hi/Low switch. Below the switches there is a mechanical thermostat to further regulate the heater. On the front of the heater integrated into the turbo fan grill there is a switch to turn the turbo fan on or off. A nice feature is on a hot day you can run the turbo fan without any heat, this provides a cool draft from the heater although it is not as affective as a desktop fan though. Normally use this during winter. Well now, I use it less often because of this summer period. Dimplex is a nice heater that gives specific amount of heat that suites your body. Well I use this mostly at nights because in the daytime, I tend to be at work so there won?t be that time to make use of it.
I got this about a year ago but I got astonished when I went through the page and realized that none of the heaters has been rated. It took me about one month before installing it. Even the installation cost so I had to exercise some patience. Since I got this, I have not been experiencing difficulty with cold especially while at sleep. The dimplex heater is kept in my bedroom and I think this is where it should be because putting it elsewhere apart from the bedroom might be of no use.
