Fairly recently, I was up at my mums when a headache started to make itself known . Quick as a flash, my mum felt around in her handbag, before thrusting 4head into my hand- - a stylish silver container with a clear plastic lid, looking like a short , fat lip salve . At the bottom of the pack is a part that you twist to get more of the product to come out of the tube . The hot pink label announces that this is 3.6 g .
It also informs us the Levomenthol is the active ingredient . Now, I'm aware of menthol in a lot of products - Deep Heat, Deep Freeze, and of course various cough medications and decongestants.
To apply this product, just apply it in a sweep across your forehead . It glides on well, and leaves a thin slightly greasy coating on your skin . The effect is immediate - initially, a very very cold feeling on my skin, that almost feels as though I'm being hit with tiny hailstones . In itself this is quite uncomfortable for a few minutes, but it becomes less annoying very quickly - just leaving my head feeling very cool, as though I was standing in a cool breeze - really very pleasant, and much nicer than the headache .
After another 20 minutes, this feeling also stopped, and my headache was gone . I think that was because I nipped it in the bud before it had a chance to develop into anything bigger . With other headaches, I've sometimes found that it takes two or three applications to completely eliminate a headache, but it does mask the pain wonderfully - and I've found that used in combination with ordinary painkillers, it helps relieve even my worst headaches .
Due to it's small size it is easy to carry around anywhere, and it's solid form makes it easy and mess free to apply . It does have a couple of downsides though - being of the same waxy consistency as lip salve, it does melt and go soft if it gets too hot , and also it does have that strong menthol smell . I stop noticing it after a few minutes, but once after applying it a friend commented 'Have you got deep heat on ' so it is noticeable . However, its not an offensive smell really.
It's also more expensive that tablet painkillers, costing me a little under £5.50 when I purchased my own tube However, I think it is well worth the price, and my tube has only worn down a little, so I expect it to last me a good long time!
5 stars - whilst the smell is a tad annoying, the fact is this product REALLY works .
Advantages: It works for me and easy to use Disadvantages: Don't let it get near your eyes!
Yesterday I had the ?mother? of all headaches. I don?t get them very often but after eating a substantial breakfast, lunch and dinner, I still had it last night. We didn?t have any paracetamol in the cupboard and my husband tried to convince me to take a co-codamol. The reason I didn?t is because I?m breast feeding and I wasn?t sure if it would affect Elijah because they are quite a lot stronger than paracetamol. After a while of moaning Andrew remembered he had this 4head stick in his school bag and convinced me to give it a try.
The idea is that you rub it into the area which is hurting and it?s suppose to kill your headache. I was pretty skeptical because it just didn?t sound possible for it to work.
The product itself comes in a tube. When I took the lid off and touched the top I was surprised to feel that nothing came off ...
Advantages: Works like a dream Disadvantages: The vapours sometimes make your eyes water a little
is a slight risk of a reaction which may cause contact dermatitis if you already suffer from it, which I do. I found no side-effects of this kind.

What can I say? I think ?4head? is fantastic! I'm sure there have been other treatments of this kind but I found the packaging and general use kind of novel. It was very easy to apply and gave me instant relief from, what can be, a debilitating illness.
Although rather small, I think this product would last quite some time as you don't need to use very much at all in order to reap the benefits. I definitely won't be without ?4head? ever again!

Advantages: Quick, Easy To Use, Drug Free Disadvantages: Price, Could Irritate Sensitive Souls!
by the price I paid, £5.65, because I paid a similar amount for my packet of Migraleve from my local chemist. Although the initial outlay may be slightly more than a pack of regular painkillers, bear in mind that you get maybe 16 tablets in a packet of painkillers, but you get over 100 applications of 4head in one stick, I think that puts it in perspective!

The role of 4head in headache relief Unlike most headache treatments 4head is specially designed to be applied directly to the forehead for effective headache relief without pills. It is presented in a convenient retractable stick dispenser. Using 4head also helps you to avoid the prospect of side-effects that can be associated with painkillers taken orally such as the possibility of stomach irritation with aspirin.
