Advantages: Save money, be better off Disadvantages: It takes time and effort on your part to do so
The start of a new year is traditionally the time for spring-cleaning - including sorting out your finances. I'm sure there are a lot of people who see the word "financial" and just switch off, assuming it will either be boring or irrelevant as they are rich enough for such matters. But, if you are careful with financial management, you can end up with more money working harder for you, which will leave you better off. That has surely got to be worth a little effort now, hasn't it? After all, we need to know how to look after all these many pounds that ciao are throwing our way. ;-)
The subject of this category is financial advisors, but my advice is to learn how to manage money yourself so you don't need them. (OK, slight liberty take with the category I know, but what do you expect for free?). Of course, this is not to say never ...

Average readership per issue among adults in the most recent period was 741,000 (source: National Readership Survey), fewer readers than for any other national except The Financial Times. For comparison, ten times as many people read The Sun each day than read The Independent.
Clearly, my new choice of daily reading is not shared by many others, but I like it anyway. Why?

Advantages: They really work on your behalf if you have a good history Disadvantages: They can completely ignore you when they want to
speak to the consultant. She was rather blasé about the whole thing. She said that as I'd already found another job and handed my notice in, no harm had been done!
Needless to say this experience put me off Office Angels for life.
