Advantages Relatively Cheap, Lightweight, Bagless, Easy to Use, Adequate Suction

Disadvantages Very Loud, Aggressive Thermostat Cut-off

I purchased this vacuum cleaner on a budget for my new house to tide me over whilst I saved up for a more expensive upright vacuum and it has performed its job amicably so far.

One of the main things that attracted me to this vacuum in particular is that it is bagless, and therefore there aren’t the further expenses of having to buy bags. The process of removing the cylinder to empty the dust is very easy, although due to the relatively small size you may find that you have to do this quite often.

Another positive is that the vacuum is lightweight, which means that it can be carried up stairs easily whilst you are vacuuming, and at 5m long, the power cord was long enough to enable me to reach the top of the stairs without having to change power outlets half way up.

The suction is adequate for my house which consists of a few short pile carpets and laminate flooring, with the vacuum picking up most dust and dirt without trouble. For houses with pets however I could see it struggling if the volume of pet hair is too great as the suction may not be powerful enough to cope.

The main disadvantage of the vacuum is the noise. For a small vacuum it is incredibly loud and would more than likely be a nuisance to the neighbours if used at an inappropriate time or for long durations.

Another annoyance that I have with the vacuum is that if you let the container get too full (or the vacuum gets too hot) there is a thermostat that cuts of the power rendering the device useless for around 40 minutes. Most of the time this isn’t a problem as you can see when the container is getting full but on the rare occasion that it catches you off guard it is very inconvenient. Don’t get me wrong, this is a good safety feature, but it may be a little overly aggressive.

It comes with three attachments; a crevice tool, a dusting brush and an upholstery tool.

Overall, if you are looking for a cheap vacuum for a small house or caravan I would recommend this product, but if you have a larger house or a house with pets it may be better to look elsewhere.

The only thing about bagless ones is that the person emptying the thing gets covered in the crap!
