DirtDevil is a brand many of us have heard about and simply put to the back of our minds. Unlike Remington, Dyson, Sony they somehow just don't stay prominent when one is considering purchasing. This could be due to the fact that they are for the most part at least largely unseen. Yet if you google DirtDevil you'll get loads of results.
I was looking for a small handheld vacuum primarily for the car, and after doing little research stumbled upon a really good deal. £16.99 for this little rechargeable DirtDevil. The unit comes complete with a charger which easily plugs into the socket on the Devil. The packaging is adequate, but on reflection it did give a little hint as to the contents.
It comes with a few basic tools including that thing with the thin end. It is bagless but does have a little cloth filter ...

So with all this in mind my hubby made a hasty decision, bought the dirtdevil as he finished his shift at Asda one morning and proceeded to bring it home on his bicycle. It came in a fairly large rectangular box and he had to walk with his bike, but he made it. So I suppose it can't be that heavy.
After you unpack it from all the usual packaging you need to assemble it. You get a small, A5 size, 11 page, instruction manual with it. This is really quite easy to understand. On pages 4 and 5, under Getting Started you will find assembly details. The handle slides onto the main body of the vacuum cleaner and secures using the screws provided.
