So with all this in mind my hubby made a hasty decision, bought the dirtdevil as he finished his shift at Asda one morning and proceeded to bring it home on his bicycle. It came in a fairly large rectangular box and he had to walk with his bike, but he made it. So I suppose it can't be that heavy.
After you unpack it from all the usual packaging you need to assemble it. You get a small, A5 size, 11 page, instruction manual with it. This is really quite easy to understand. On pages 4 and 5, under Getting Started you will find assembly details. The handle slides onto the main body of the vacuum cleaner and secures using the screws provided. DirtDevil is a brand many of us have heard about and simply put to the back of our minds. Unlike Remington, Dyson, Sony they somehow just don't stay prominent when one is considering purchasing. This could be due to the fact that they are for the most part at least largely unseen. Yet if you google DirtDevil you'll get loads of results.
I was looking for a small handheld vacuum primarily for the car, and after doing little research stumbled upon a really good deal. £16.99 for this little rechargeable DirtDevil. The unit comes complete with a charger which easily plugs into the socket on the Devil. The packaging is adequate, but on reflection it did give a little hint as to the contents.
It comes with a few basic tools including that thing with the thin end. It is bagless but does have a little cloth filter ...

I think once I have finally managed to finally get rid the dust and filth the previous owners of this house left behind that I will begin to love the little devil once again when I can just use it for the purpose I bought it for which was to do the stairs in a flash (rather than emptying twenty times!).

Having spent years either risking life and limb battling with a heavy vacuum (and associated cables and tubes) to do it or avoiding doing it for so long that I had to climb over a mountain of crumbs and dirt to get upstairs, I finally decided to buy a hand held, cordless 'dust buster' style product to get on top of one of my most hated chores.
