I'm back for today after a long absence from this beloved site.And what do I choose to write about?A Vacuum cleaner!Now this may fool you into thinking I'm slightly more grown up now I have moved in with Steve and I'm talking about more "grown up" products.However do not worry as you will find I'm just as crazy and lovable as always :)
I was given the dirt devil as a great present from my mother.When I moved in with Steve we didn't have a Vacuumcleaner and we couldn't afford to get one so mother dearest felt sorry for me and ordered one for us.She also got us a three year guarentee with the cute little thing...Isn't that sweet of her :)
When it was delivered it didn't look anything special.The box was mainly white and the writing was in black with a black outline of an upright vac.The version I am talking about therefore is obviously an upright Vacuum cleaner.
When opening the box I find that the Vac is quite good looking.And no by saying that it does not mean I have any unusual fetishes!It is purple in colour and it looks quite stylish.Not bad I thought for £80.It was ordered from littlewoods the catalogue but I'm pretty sure you can get it in most electrical stores.
It was fairly easy to assemble but with me and Steve being slightly thick when it comes to DIY and stuff it took us around half an hour to figure out what all the pieces were for lol.
It smelt new like the smell of new plastic and I have to say that has lasted around a week.It is quite a loud vacuum cleaner.So much so that I worry about the neighbours complaining with us having a flat and living above someone.It nearly gave me a heart attack first time I heard it so for anybody with a weak heart and who doesn't like loud noises this is definatey not for you.
I find it picks up best when you put it on short pile.I tried it on long pile but it hardly picked up anything.It does however pick up very well when you have it on the right setting for your floor.Also the best part about this vac is it comes with two washable bags.So if you haven't cottened on to what was just said you don't have to buy any more bags (unless of course you are dumb and you forget to change a bag when it's full causing it to blow up lol).You just simply wash the bags when they get dirty.
All in all I am really pleased with this Vacuum cleaner.I would be really lost without it and it has done so well at cleaning our flat I just can't praise it enough.Now some of you may still be thinking what's the big deal?Well a spanish guy lived in the flat before us and apparently he never hoovered.He had one of those old things where you wheel them around.It was a nightmare and didn't pick anything up.So not only did the Vac have to pick up mine and Steve's mess,it also had to clean up at least 6 months of someone else's mess.You'll be hearing a lot more about the spanish guy in my future opinions (don't even get me started on the state of the oven!).
So for a handy,cheap,extremely good Vacuum cleaner choose this one.Prices will obviously vary wherever you go so try shopping around to find the right price for you.It comes with all the usual bits and pieces,pipes to reach places that are usually awkward and it has an easy on/off switch.It comes complete with instructions so don't worry if you are a bit slow you can easily get by,by simply following the instructions.
This is a great first vacuum cleaner and I won't be using anything else for a while (although the animal vac by dyson is pretty good too lol).Hope you've enjoyed reading this op and hope you didn't miss me too much. Take care and hopefully I'll be back again soon!
