I came across these delightful soft flour tortillas a little while ago and now I use them regularly. Soft flour tortillas are a very thin soft bread disc, which is traditional bread of northern Mexico. Discovery soft flour tortillas come in packs of 8 in a bright red and orange flat plastic packet. Usually to be found amongst the Mexican food shelves at the supermarket, I paid £1.69 for my pack from the Co-Op. On the front is a picture of a Native American preparing tortillas on a flat stone. The front of the pack states that these are a ‘Mexican style bread for Enchiladas, Fajitas and wraps’ ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Heavy on calories.

On yet another mission to the supermarket the other week, trying to find something to eat that can be cooked without the aid of an oven I came across some Discovery tortillas. After assuring Dean that they would honestly taste a whole lot better then they looked, once used properly, into the trolley they went. Because of having no oven right now, I need something that could be cooked either on the hob or, dare I say, microwaved. Flour ... more

Tortillas are a relatively new addition to my household foodstuffs, and I have to be honest I have been amazed by their versatility and deliciousness, folks! In fact I would be hard-pressed to find any fault with them at all... :o) These soft round and flat rather slender wheat flour discs (approximately the size of a reasonably-sized dinner plate), are a wonderful carbohydrate tummy filler-upper, and a very healthy alternative to our common-a-garden white bread. My initial encounter with these tasty babies came after a Weight Watchers weekly meeting where my friendly leader, Fiona ... more

Now I’m a big fan of all things spicy, and love to make fahitas at home, I’ve tried various different spice mixes and tortillas along the way, but until recently I’d not tried the Discovery Tortillas. I bought them because they were the only tortillas available in Tesco’s , and, having set my heart on cooking fahitas for dinner I wasn’t going to go home empty handed. What’s the difference between one tortilla wrap and another after all?! The price for these is about average when you compare it to other main brands like Old El Paso - which I usually buy, - and a little more expensive than the ... more

A few months ago we discovered 'Discovery Soft Flour tortillas' and we have always had some in the cupboard since. Even if (like me) you don’t like Mexican food read on because you can do so much with these things! ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ What are they? ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ These are circular shaped bread tortillas that are ready cooked and can be used with a wide variety of fillings. The packet describes them as 'traditional Mexican style bread for fajitas & enchiladas as well as chicken, fish, vegetarian and fruit fillings'. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ What do ... more
