It is very quiet, even having an option for Night Mode which while making the cycle a bit longer, makes the sounds even quieter. Very energy efficient and a large choice of programmes. There is even a Baby Setting which you can put baby bottles in the machine and it will wash them in ... ...Im just waiting to phone Hotpoint about it. Me and the husband last night tried for about half an hour to work out why the door wouldn't close - we even took both baskets out to satisfy ourselves that nothing was in the way but still the catch would not, well, catch. Am hoping its an easy fix as I really like this dishwasher! ...

Advantages: Better than handwashing everything. Disadvantages: Doesn't work properly. Doesn't clean very well. Clogs up readily. Falls apart easily.
This was not cheap, but has been a disappointment from the moment we got it to replace the old thing we had that did stalwart work for many years. AEG used to have a good name, but Electrolux has taken it over.
It complains the spray arm is blocked many times during the cycle when there is nothing wrong. The top tray is not secure and has dropped. It doesn't get the dishes clean, often leaving greasy marks, and does not dry properly. If the stuff ... ...work. We hate it. It hasn't actually stopped working entirely yet, but is so annoying and useless that we are going to buy a new one, Bosch or Meile, tomorrow. We have a colourful range of invective for this heap of f****** S*** that we have wasted our money on. ...
