Hotpoint FDD912 G Dishwasher - mostly good!

Me and the husband last night tried for about half an hour to work out why the door wouldn't close - we even took both baskets out to satisfy ourselves that nothing was in the way but still the catch would not, well, catch. Supreme clean

Stay clear of Hotpoint

Advantages: Reasonably good until it broke after 4 months
Disadvantages: Unrelilable, awful customer services from Hotpoint

...called Comet who said because Hotpoint had replaced a part it was their responsbibility, so I called Hotpoint who said it was down to Comet. I've just spent over an hour trying to get them to decide who's problem it is, being bouced backwards and forwards between the two companies. My extended warranty is worthless, and I now have a piece of scrap metal in my kitchen with nobody taking responsibility for it. I've asked for Hotpoint to call me back ...

Hotpoint SDW80 Slimline Dishwasher!

Advantages: Super Silent and colour matches all other Hotpoint appliances
Disadvantages: Normal wash takes 90 minutes.

We were looking for a dishwasher to match our current kitchen appliances, eg the same colour and we have had an excellent experience with Hotpoint, so that favoured us to purchase this one. Dishwasher, cook, cleaner. Not anymore. narrowed down to 2

Advantages: no more dishwasher hands

You know the old joke of I dont need a dishwasher I have got the Wife. I havent had one very long, a dishwasher I mean, and I must admit I used to think that by the time I messed around filling it up and sorting it out I could have done all the washing up by hand. But I was very happy when my husband said about getting one even though by then two of my three children had left home - having said that though they are boomarangs and keep moving back! ...

I cant say how it was fitted but my husband who is no plumber, did it to the instructions and it didn't take long at all and all done very calmly! Washes Intensive - very dirty dishes and pans. The machine will pre wash with hot water at 40 c then go up to 65 c, 2 cold rinses, 1 hot rinse at 70 c and then dry This takes about 100 minutes ...
