Brillant value , sturdy machine. Advantages: Solidly build , easy to use Disadvantages: None yet! ...scale. We picked the Indesit IDF125 not only on price but on the simplicity of the machine functions. The actual machine is solid and well built. When first installed (which we had done in with the price of the machine) it has a function that tests the water in the specific area where you live then adjusts its programs according to the softness of the water locally , very swish! New Slimline Dishwasher Advantages: Quiet, fast and efficient Disadvantages: Have not found any Old dishwasher died three weeks before Christmas, needed a slimline dishwasher and plumped for this one. All I can say is that it is excellent. Fast, efficient and quiet. My only grumbles would be that the cutlery container takes some getting used to as it tends to fall over and the dishwash tablet container could be reshaped . Other than that I have found it excellent, particularily as the top shelf has two levels, so it gives more space for larger ... ...is very effective and very rarely have I found any dried on residue after the full cycle, very good cleaner of ovenproof cookware---------great for just myself and more than efficient when I have guests. Easily fitted and idiot proof to use. big warrranty problems Advantages: simple to use Disadvantages: very unhelpful customer service ...a normal guarantee I called Indesit who sent a guy round about a week later. He was able to fix the fault but then demanded £140, claiming there was nothing wrong with the machine and so we had to pay - both statements (in my opinion) completely wrong. Clearly there was a fault, whether it could be remedied quickly by a trained engineer or not. Indesit Customer Service: I complained about this first to Consumer Direct who are helping me with this ... ...months old so wrote back. Indesit customer Services sent what looked like a standard email saying they insist that I pay. Fitting and Manual: We originally bought the larger version of this machine which came with a manual. It couldn't be fitted because they don't tell you before you buy it that you need a large gap around the machine presumably for cooling. Dixons arranged replacement without a fuss. Indesit D63 - new pump motor - again Advantages: Looks OK Disadvantages: Doesn't wash well and breaks down We have an indesit D63 and have had it for 4 years, it has never done a good job of washing up and everything is much better done by hand. About six months ago the pump motor failed and had to be replaced. Now it has happened again. This time I'm doing more research (who wants to replace £100 pumps every six months?) and it turns out that this machine is a real lemon - I'd certainly agree. We had our last dishwasher for over 15 years and it was good ... ...Indesit as per the Watchdog message and they said that there was no problem with the D63. When I drew their attention to the Watchdog assesment, they "Oh yes, now I remember there was, but it's been fixed!". Another Indesit Hit Advantages: Value for money, relaible, clean, easy to use Disadvantages: can take a while, ...found a good deal on indesit appliances.(Triple deal) Have to say i wasnt too keen on a dishwasher but thought what the hey, thought i'd pamper him (not that he washes dishes you understand lol) Anyway, after arrival, it was easy to plumb in and set up as we did it ourselves so thats a plus. Read the manual etc etc which suggested u need salt and rinse aid so we bought all the other bits and pieces and my first thought even then was , geez its gonna ... ...too and perfect after a party, you just fling everything in, switch it on and go to bed, no messy worktops to wake up to or dirty dishes.
