Lovely shiny dishy washy Advantages: Really easy to use. Great performance. Cheap to run. Disadvantages: Bad installation instructions although not difficult to install. Simple to use... Turn the dial to Normal for the normal wash, turn it to Quick Wash for the quick wash. No stupid letters and numbers, just a dead obvious dial and an on/off button. LCD display tells you how long to wait until the wash will be done. If it looks too long, set it to "Half load" and the time drops. Quiet... It's not really whisper quiet - you can still hear it whirring away, but it's not especially noisy, just normal for a dishwasher. ... ...ones. Effective... It really does wash stuff really well. I'm impressed. It did a better job of cleaning than the old one, and the old one was ok. Plates come out totally dry. No rust or stains on cutlery. Features... You can set it to come on later on. So if you have economy seven you can put it on in the wee hours. You can also take the top basket out completely and put in a little spray attachment which comes with it. Splish splosh, its a Bosch Advantages: Low noise Disadvantages: Cutlery compartment is a bit inflexible and bendy ...well as performance and the Bosch came out on top. Tour of the Dishwasher Outside The dishwasher has a white metal door, with a white plastic control panel. On the control panel are the power button, the programme dial and 3 red lights for the water supply, a salt warning light and a rinse aid warning light. I will go into more detail about the programmes later. Inside The inside of the dishwasher is split into a lower deck ... ...results out of the dishwasher, Bosch recommend that you use salt and rinse aid with each wash. These items are simple to top up. The salt goes in a compartment under the lower deck. Simply unscrew the cap and pour in the salt via the provided funnel until it starts to overflow. At this point screw the cap back on tightly and you are ready to go. Do not buy this dishwasher..... Advantages: None Disadvantages: I should have brought another brand I first purchased a Hotpoint LFT 114 direct from Indesit in Peterborough back in April of this year 09 but did not have it installed until the end of May and since then I,am on my fourth appliance. I have had all sorts of problems from a electronic mother board being replaced to the second model flooding my kitchen the third model the first time it was used got an air block and my forth model is being delivered tomorrow morning 05/08/09. Toss away those marigolds and let the machine do the work Advantages: Easy to use, cleans the dishes well and look neat and tidy Disadvantages: none to speak of ...the price for this particular Hotpoint does seem to range quite dramatically, I have seen it advertised a price as low as £250 and as much as £350. New Slimline Dishwasher Advantages: Quiet, fast and efficient Disadvantages: Have not found any Old dishwasher died three weeks before Christmas, needed a slimline dishwasher and plumped for this one. All I can say is that it is excellent. Fast, efficient and quiet. My only grumbles would be that the cutlery container takes some getting used to as it tends to fall over and the dishwash tablet container could be reshaped . Other than that I have found it excellent, particularily as the top shelf has two levels, so it gives more space for larger ... ...is very effective and very rarely have I found any dried on residue after the full cycle, very good cleaner of ovenproof cookware---------great for just myself and more than efficient when I have guests.
