"The complete guide to Animal Kingdom USA"

As some of you ciaowers may have noticed I have not been around for the past two weeks but I am back now and will hopefully be entertaining and interesting many of you with my opinions on Florida and my experiences over the next few weeks.

This opinion is going to be all about the Walt Disney park Animal Kingdom

Just a little introduction into Disney World itself
----------------------------------------------------

Walt Disney world first opened on the 21st June 1971 and covers thousands of square miles. All the parks and hotels cover the size of Manchester, so you can imagine this is quite a big place and you do need at least four days to get around all the parks, if not more.

Because all the Disney parks are so popular, especially on certain days, like weekends, school holidays and bank holidays it is best to be there early to avoid long queuing times and wasting your day.

Disney world consists of 4 adventure parks and 3 water parks and these can all be accessed either by buying individual park tickets or a hopper ticket and you can buy these cheaper over there.

The names of the parks are as follows

Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Disney’s MGM studios.

The three water parks being named Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach and River Country.

Unfortunately we were not able to go to River Country at the time of our visit as it is under construction at this time so I will not be able to talk about it in this opinion.

I do however still have two entrances left on my ticket so if I do go back to Florida and this is very likely I will see it then.

Right onto Animal Kingdom then.

Animal Kingdom is great for people of all ages and contains some great rides and shows for everyone. If you are not keen on animals then I recommend you not to go on or do a few of the attractions. I will explain them as I go through.

Animal Kingdom is split up into parts, like all parks and makes it easier for getting around. When you enter you are given a plan of the park and on it, it explains a little bit about each ride so that it makes it easier for you to decide where you want to go and what you want to get on.

We first started off towards the back of the park as we found this the best way to get around as most people in the morning start off at the front and we worked our way around the park.
I will now write a little bit about each attraction a

Both these attractions are based in the section of Africa

Kilimanjaro Safaris
---------------------

This is an open air safari ride and the vehicle takes you on a journey through an African Savannah. You get the opportunity to see giraffes, gazelles, elephants, rhinos and lions freely roam the acres of land, rivers and rocky hills.
This was a great ride and is great feeling to see all the animals having freedom and knowing they will not harm anyone.

Pangani Forest Exploration Trail
---------------------------------

This is a walk through a forest seeing more animals.
You will see things like gorillas, hippos, tigers, monkeys, birds and fish. A great experience as all the animals have plenty of land to visit and again do not harm you at all.

The next section on the map is Rafiki's planet watch and contains 4 attractions. We did not visit this section whilst we were there as nothing appealed to us but I will explain it from the leaflet and map I have as it may interest some people, especially those with younger children. So here are the attractions in this section then

Wildlife Express Train
----------------------

This is just a train ride that takes you closer to the animals I mentioned earlier on.

Habitat Habit
--------------

This again is a walkway through where the animals live. You will get to see cotton-top tamarins on the discovery trail. Plus you will also get helpful hints on how to share the world and your own backyard, with animals.

Conservation Station
---------------------

This is a hub of global conservation where you will learn interesting facts about animal habitats around the world. You will also get a look at animal research, veterinary care and food preparation.

Affection Station
------------------

Like going to a farm you can get close and personal with your favourite animals. These are trained and so will do you no harm if you don't harm them.

Next section is Asia, where there are 3 attractions for everyone to enjoy.

Flights of Wonder
------------------

This is a show where you get to see many birds from all over the world enthral you with incredible flights and humorous natural behaviours.

Kali River Rapids
-------------------

This is a white water raft ride through turbulent waters of the Chakranadi River and be prepared to get absolutely soaked. A fun ride for many people.

Mahaarajah Jungle Trek
------------------------

This is a walk through the ruins of an ancient palace inhabited by beautiful and exotic animals. Keep an eye out for bats, fruit, birds, tapirs, komodo dragons and tigers.
Again another show.

Now onto

DinoLand U.S.A.
------------------

This section offers a few attractions and shows which are suitable for everyone.
This section is fairly new to the park and has 3 new attractions added to make it even more exciting.
Let’s get on then and talk about the attractions this area has to offer.

Firstly you have The Boneyard. This is like an adventure playground for your little ones and has a crawling maze, slides, climbing frames and much more.
It is all built to perfection and has remains of the popular dinosaurs such as the Triceratops and the T-Rex.

Tarzan Rocks
-------------

This is a show.
Live on stage you can see stunts performed by jungle gymnasts and in-line skaters
See the leaflet for times on the day.

Primeval Whirl
----------------

This is a prehysterical spinning coaster which sends you through a maze of curves, hills and drops and through the jaws of a dinosaur. Suitable for all people over the height of 48 inches 122 cm.

Tricera Top Spin
------------------

This is a slow moving ride. You board the Triceratops dinosaur and slowly go around and you have control to raise and lower the dinosaur. A great ride for kids and big kids too.

So that’s all the rides and attractions which are included in this great park.

There are plenty of places to eat and drink around the park offering pizzas, pasta, burgers, hotdogs and salads and a wide variety of teas, coffees, soft drinks and water.

There are also plenty of toilets scattered all around.

This park was kept to the best possible standards and there was never any queuing for the ladies and the toilets were looked after very, very well.

Well that’s about it for Animal Kingdom. Thanks for the read and look out for more parks coming soon.
