Advantages: fun for all the family Disadvantages: none
when this film was advertised on tv my kids nagged at me till we went to see it at the cinema and to my suprise even i actually enjoyed watching it.
This movie is based on a littlechicken who rang the town bell to warn them that the sky was falling but when he took the towns people to the place where he said the sky had hit him no one would believe him and said that it was just an acorn that had fallen and hit him on the head when actually it was an invisible hexigan shape that had hit him on the head.
Chickenlittle told his friends about this shape which turned out to be part of an alien space ship which was based on the towns baseball field.
Chickenlittle and his friends boarded the space ship to have a look round for one of his other friends as he had been carried off into the ship by the invisible shape.

Advantages: Animation is good Disadvantages: Story not so good
So what if this film isn't a Pixar created picture. It's still a cute little tale that is fun for the younger crowd to check out. Granted, it doesn't have the emotional movements that are found in most of the older Disney flicks out there, but the Pixar films weren't that moving either. The sky has literally fallen on ChickenLittle and his father and the community of Oakey Oaks have turned their collective backs on him. He's been turned into a laughing stock. That is, until the sky falls on him again about a year later and aliens attempt to take over the planet. I won't give much more information away ...
Advantages: light hearted enjoyable comedy for all Disadvantages: short, seems slightly rushed
I only watched this at the cinema a little while back, and was surprised to see it already on dvd. But this at least gives lots of people to watch this lovely little movie over and over again. This heart warming tale of a chicken who struggles to get by in a world twice his size can be enjoyed by people of all ages and i can honestly say that the story doesn't once get stale. One year after his infamous "The sky is falling" routine, ChickenLittle (Braff) is still a pariah around town, with he and his equally unpopular friends Abby (Cusack) and Runt (Zahn) picked on constantly by the cooler dogs and foxes. But ChickenLittle's biggest problem is his relationship with his father (Marshall), who tries to be supportive but in reality is just as doubtful of his son as everyone else is.
Even when Little becomes an unlikely baseball hero ...
