    In case you don’t know March 1st – March 14th is Fairtrade Fortnight, so in support of the cause here is my attempt to persuade the Ciao masses to try Divine Fair Trade Drinking chocolate – and it is divine. Over the past year you can’t have helped but noticed the rise and rise of Fair Trade and it’s emergence into the mainstream largely thanks to the Co-op who have shown that consumers do want fair trade products and that you don’t have to pay over the odds for them.     I love this hot chocolate! £2.99 felt like a lot of money the first time I bought this from co-op, but it has become the only drinking choclate I will buy! For a 500g tub it was quite reasonable really. The tub is gold with a brown plastic push on lid. It is covered by foil, but you have to be careful once you've broken this because when you pull off the lid, the cocoa goes everywhere! For a large mug you only need two and a half heaped teaspoons, so it lasts ages (months even). You have to heat up a mug of milk and then sprinkle the powder in and stir vigorously for about 30 seconds. This ... more

    Divine make the richest, sweetest, most consistently flavoured fair trade chocolate bar on the market, so I wanted to try their drinking chocolate. It's a 500g tub and costs £2.99 at co-op and in larger supermarkets. It's simple and quick to make, just stir a few teaspoons into hot milk. It tastes very traditional and chocolatey, just like my mum used to make by hand when we were little, rather than the fluffy stuff sold in coffee shops.
