I took time off work today to accept delivery of a Sony LCD TV, having been given a delivery slot of between 9.00 a.m. and 1.00 p.m.
From 1.30 p.m. onwards, I repeatedly phoned to find out what was happening to the delivery. Twice, people went away, left me on the end of the phone for ten minutes, and then hung up.
At other times, I was assured that the set was on its way and would definitely be delivered soon.

I was reluctant to use Dixons for the purchase of our new LCD TV due to the large number of negative reviewss regarding their customer service and delivery. However as Dixons had a 12 hour sale which resulted in the TV I wanted being nearly £50 cheaper than everywhere else I took the plunge and placed the order on line. I must say I am absolutely shocked at the high level of customer service I have received. As soon as my order was placed I received ... ...then an email advising my delivery date and tracking number enabling me to enquire the evening before what time slot I had been allocated for my delivery. I received a call about 8:30 on the evening before my delivery date and a polite lady advised me that my delivery would be bewteen 1:30 and 5:30 the following day. I was very pleased with this call as I was under the impression that i had to go online to enquire about my delivery slot. myself. ...

I read the comments about this bunch and thought I knew better. They can't be that bad, I said to myself. THEY ARE WORSE I paid to have the microwave oven delivered today and they did not put the whole address on the package and it was returned to the depot. Staff when you complain are surly and don't want to know. They promised a call from a supervisor, never happened. REPEAT DO NOT BUY FROM THEM GO SOMEWHERE ELSE That is the only way that you will ...

Advantages: none i can see-laptops are nice but not worth the hassle Disadvantages: customer services-staff in far-flung places who dont speak english
Having had to return my patner's laptop under warranty-it was received a week later with a repair docket and 5 keys missing! I was told to send again as they didnt know what had happened...when received back the second time it was with a note they wouldnt repair as it was customer damaged! 3rd time i wrote a note to explain and it was repaired. This all sounds quite painless but involved numerous phone-calls and emails(the emails were very rude, ... ...not working and the laptop woks with the other advent perfectly. We know which part is faulty and i have spoken to three people at cust services who tel me i have to return the laptop too! i asked why? and the first guy told me its health and safety as if they supply just the charger it could blow up in our face (!) 2nd guy said its the contract they sign with laptop manufacturer states they need the whole thing back. waited in all Sunday for the delivery of my Fridge Freezer, and after calling Dixons at 3.30pm to find out what time they would arrive, I was told the delivery was not on its way, despite them sending me an order confirmation and delivery date, they said no delivery date was set. I even phoned them the previous week to confirm the date and to seek advice regarding when to defrost my old freezer. I am very upset and totally disappointed with the service. ... ...and I wasted a whole day waiting for nothing. I will not be shopping online with Dixons ever again. The experience totally depressed me. This purchase took a week and I still haven't got a fridge freezer, and now I have to start again with another shop ...
