Advantages: Very funny and educational Disadvantages: None
I was, I must admit, a little bit worried about this book to start with. Emblazoned on the front cover are the following words, in large, red block capitals: "HE IS A RARE COMIC TALENT" (The Times.)
I need not have worried. As it became clear from before author Tim Moore started the book that he is, indeed, exactly as described, "a rare comic talent." The tone of the book is set in the acknowledgements. Those who offered Tim help are praised fulsomely. And those who refused to help, even to the extent of cutting off their noses to spite their face, received, well, read this direct quote from the acknowledgement:
"And finally, a fitful round of derisive applause for Hasbro, who have ensured you won't be seeing a dog, boot, title deed of Monopoly board graphically represented within these pages. I am consequently delighted to ...
Advantages: It's a very good idea for a book Disadvantages: It's just a badly executed one
with more of an interest in the past than I may get more from this book than I have. But Moore's meandering journey around London lacks the sparkle and wit of a Tony Hawks book and contains little excitement or anticipation. Very quickly, you come to know roughly what's going to happen next, with only the where being undecided. It may be this aspect that makes the side trips seem more interesting by comparison.
If you're looking for information on the history of London, you may well be better off buying a history book. The information will be presented in no more interesting a fashion, but there will be more of what you're looking for. As a tourist guide or travelogue, "DoNot Pass Go" is next to useless, taking you to places that were, more often than to places that are.

a pirated copy. A plain black case with the 'NotGoing Out' cover put on the front and nothing other than the disc inside the case.
The other downside to the Dvd itself is the menu. Navigating through episodses and episode chapters is quite confusing at the start, but I eventually seen what was happening.
