Twice that happened to me!

Life after death is the question and yes I believe.

This is my 2nd review and I am registered disabled. I have been since 1993/4 (no sympathy thanks its ok) and in that year I had 1 experience and again a few years later. One very brief and the other very very scary.

The 1st happened after I got out of hospital. I was still very unwell and was laid up downstairs on the settee. I had lost 5 stone in weight in 1 year and couldn't walk without the help of my wife and a walking stick; I was only 31 years old!

Picture the rooms!

We lived in a top flat in Edinburgh. We had a square living room about 18 feet by 18 feet. I was on the settee facing the kitchen at the far wall furthest away from the door you enter the living room. In front of me was the door to the kitchen. The kitchen was about 20 ft long and narrow. Right above the door to the kitchen was a speaker stand with a speaker on it right in the corner where all walls and the sealing meet. A small gap between the settee and the door was where everybody walked to enter the kitchen.

I was as I said very unwell and had a high temperature. I was facing the door watching my wife washing dishes and doing other household things.

I would sometimes close my eyes and drift in and out. I think I was so tired from being hospital. I would hear sounds from outside and they would seem so far away sometimes and then when I opened my eyes the sounds would be full and clear.

On this day ,in the afternoon, my wife asked if I would like a drink. I said yes …some water please. Then I opened my eyes fully and just watched her doing dishes and getting on with life. Then for whatever reason I started to stare at the corner where the speaker and wall meet, right at the point where all 3 join before going in different directions.

As I stared, I noticed the tinniest pin point of very vibrant strong white light! It seemed like an eternity, but, this light got bigger and bigger and bigger. Funny thing was, it wasn't circular, it was like when you draw on a bit of paper and draw a small square and make it bigger and bigger till it looks like you could just jump into it and keep going, you know?

Anyway, this light got bigger and bigger and so close to me, or at me, that I started to panic a bit.

There was no noise when this was happening and my eyes felt like they would explode because I had opened them so wide. Then the light started to take up all the other stuff like wallpaper, kitchen door and other stuff, I mean I could not see the other solid objects because it was enveloping everything! At this point I shouted HELEN!?....and with a low sort of thud or sort of backward inside out sound (Hope that makes sense?) it just reversed and disappeared…..Gone!

At this point I was breathing really fast and my heart thought it could beat at mega fast speed. I was absolutely drained and sweating badly. I sort of cried and laughed and spoke in a confused gobbledygook speech all at the same time. My wife came through and comforted me and that was that.

I explained to my wife what I had just seen and she was very sympathetic and understanding, but it was never talked about again till years later.

Now, I was ill but I know what I saw. The fact that all solid matter in that immediate area could be engulfed in a blink (although to me at time it seemed and eternity) was unbelievable to me but I saw it. And I heard that sound as it reversed back into the wall from where it came. And now years later I can still see it as clear as day.

No2:

A few years after that happened. After I was at last on my feet I had a very scary experience.

I had by this time lost my job because of my medical status (Medically retired) and I had gained the weight I had lost and more…….A Lot more

I smoke and although I had medical problems I was drinking! DRINKING A LOT!

I had problems with my kidneys not functioning right? and as time goes bye they are going to fail. Now, you think that would make a person stop drinking! Yes? NO!

I had been given advice from doctors about drinking and I did listen but with a disregard and a semi interested look you only get from someone who (at the time) didn't give a shit about life.

Someone who had lost everything you take for granted.

The job you had for life was gone. The money had gone and the kids you had didn't matter, even when they looked into your eyes and asked "Daddy?" It all didn't matter.

So you get the picture? A guy who was now roughly about 3 years into this nightmare, HIS NIGHTMARE!, NOT ANYBODY ELSE'S,…even though he was married to a great woman and, really, money didn't matter……he was so full of negative energy and self destruction he just didn't care…..and drinking was a way to blur life full stop.

Anyway, this had gone on so long that it got to the point I was drinking a bottle of Vodka a day easy. It had no effect other than making sleeping easy. I had also stopped talking to my wife and the kids just saw me as an ornament sitting on the chair everyday, unshaven and red eyed, with a distant interest in life in the creases on my face.

I was up one night and listening to the radio using headphones trying to answer questions on the phone to win prizes for the local station.

I had at this point got used to going out the door in the living room ,along the hall, in the dark, feeling my way against the wallpaper and then grabbing at the bottom of the banister and swinging round 90 degrees and upstairs to the toilet.

This night was the same. I had been drinking and had drunk so much it was having zero affect. I had stayed up as long as possible but my eyes had had enough and it was time to go to bed.

I switched everything of and made my way to the glass fronted door to exit the living room.

Grabbing at the false ivory handle and pulling at the door it opened. I walked out into the hall with all the lights out with only the sound of traffic outside in the distance to keep me company.

Feeling with my left hand at the embossed paper on the wall I slowly walked toward the bottom of the stair at the end of the hall. Moving to my right hand I bounced my hand of the other wall until I felt the banister halfway up the stairs….running with it till my hand got to the big bit at the bottom and swung myself round to face the stairs!!!

At this point the stair and hall are at the bottom gone all sort of grey! Like you get when your eyes have adjusted to the darkness. And directly in front of me was this horrible, creepy, black small figure in a hood and a sort of cape thing with no face and very sunk dimly coloured greyish eyes…..it was about 3ft tall and flouted on the 3rd stair.

Around this thing was a mist or substance like smoke in a sundrenched hall or church window where the sunlight shines in like a mist swirling around it in slow motion effect and it just looked at me……I'm not sure what else to say……it just stared at me. PANIC- INSTANTLY- SOBER!!

Well, have you ever saw a 30+ guy overweight and scared shitless running arms out screaming? This was the night.

14 stairs in 2 seconds flat…..missed the toilet altogether and near took the bedroom door of the hinges screaming at my wife as I launched like a missile into my bed fully clothed.

Speaking at 1000mph in a language my wife didn't understand and I just made up……I eventually told her what happened and we spent the rest of the night in bed scared shitless staring at the door like a couple of kids who sneaked in on Santa when we shouldn't have waiting for him to come in and give us what for……!

That was very scary for me and totally honest.

I have now stopped drinking for 9 years and took a uni course on computers and got the goods 4 years later and my wife still loves me. My kids at 19 and 17 and just grunt at me know but heh? You can't win them all.

We did get a spiritual person in called Angela who is from Morningside in Edinburgh and is famous by all accounts, and she told me it was the 4th step and it was negative energy I had seen and I had 2 people called John looking after me from the other side.

As for the question asked about life after death?

I not only believe in the afterlife! I know its there and we WILL go on after death, I have no doubts……

Since then there have been some weird other things that have happened but never on the scale of that. Or Not SO FAR!!

I really enjoyed reading this review. And I totally understand where you are coming from. My family has experienced unusual things as well and my mother saw a figure as well when she was in hospital after having my younger sister. But she saw a tall white man dressed with a white cape, a really shiny white that you simply cannot explain. I am only 17 and a lot of things have happened quite similar to that. I absolutely loved it. I am glad that you saw the light and stopped drinking. Keep it up! All my best wishes. X
